What song did you walk down the aisle to?

Michelle, on December 29, 2015 at 2:12 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 76

What song did you or are you walking down the aisle to?

My wedding is still really far away and this may change but I really want to walk down the aisle to "found a heart" by Emily Hearn. It's just so happy and light hearted and how I want to feel on my day.

A couple of my friends think it's weird not to use "here comes the bride" but I don't really have any real connection to that song. I was nervous to tell my mom because of my friends opinions but she thinks the song I like is perfect so I'm so happy.

So now I'm just wondering what everyone else walked to out of curiosity. Share and have a great day!

Canon in D. I heard it and was able to picture my walk down the aisle.

    Edit:

I used this version Smiley smile www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlprozGcs80

We are likely having a solo violinist play for the ceremony - so it'll likely be a piece of classical music, but not sure what yet!

I definitely don't think you need to walk to 'here comes the bride'! I think you need to go with what feels best to you!

I'm having Simon and Garfunkel Song for the Asking. It's a beautiful song and the perfect length! No need to pick traditional (unless you're in a religious building with restrictions), I knew before we even got engaged that I wanted this song.

    Edit: spelling

Canon in D gives me all the feels! I can't decide if I want it with the piano, strings or a guitar... They all sound so pretty to me!

I tear up every time I hear Cannon in D - it's what I'm initially leaning towards walking down the aisle to but then again I don't want to be a blubbering mess! So tough.

I'm loving all these ideas! Canon in D is absolutely beautiful and I can see why so many people have said it. I'm enjoying listening to these other ones I haven't heard before too!

A classical cover of "Titanium." I had my knee replaced a few years ago, and never thought I'd actually be able to walk down the aisle.

Vitamin String Quartet - Regina Spektor's "Samson"

We used VSQ for all of the prelude and ceremony music, except the recessional (which was Bright Eyes "First Day of My Life").

It never even occur to me to use here com the bride. I can't remember ever hearing that at any wedding I've been to.

Canon in D. I know it's boring and everyone uses it, but it is such a beautiful piece of music.
