What song did you/will you walk down the aisle to?

Julie, on October 4, 2013 at 10:54 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 41

What song will you/or did you walk down the aisle to?

Did you pick something traditional or totally unique?

I was going to have Kenny G (the moment) for my wedding party and "here comes the bride" for me. Then I considered doing "the moment" for me and Kenny G's "letter's from home" for the wedding party. I seem to be changing it a lot. But love Kenny G for weddings.

Not that it goes with my "theme" which is timeless eleganc/Audrey (we've been over this hahaha). But I will surprise FH with a friend playing accoustic guitar to One Love by Bob Marley. He won't expec it at all! I'm sure to get some emotion from it haha. The girls I'm thinking Kiss the Girl instrumental.... again, it doesn't go with the theme at all... oh well... Smiley smile

Do what you love Julie! There is no right or wrong song- just what reaches down and grabs you and feels right. Having a strong opinion about the songs is way better than having none. It will show when you walk down the aisle.

I tell my couples that if you are wavering between 2 or more songs for an event or moment, no worries! Pick one and we'll use the other one somewhere else- cutting the cake or as a slow song or whatever.

I encourage couples to give me as many songs as possible for everything. The day/evening is all about you and if you are enjoying the music, whether walking down the aisle, background during dinner, or dancing yourself silly on the dancefloor, everyone else will do the same.

    GL & congrats!

Pretty nontraditional, but I loved it!

My BP walked to "Skip to the Good Part" by He Is We

And my mom and I walked down to "No Day But Today [Live From Soundstage]" by Idina Menzel

I am a huge music addict so I wanted to pick songs that I loved and it made it really special.

Pick whatever you love! It is worth it!

Not sure whatsoever, but I'm seriously considering using the Muppets Show Theme Song right before the wedding party entrance.

Well, my original idea was instrumental version of "nothing else matters" Metalica. played by FH (well recorded)

We just booked a guitar soloist and he doesn't play that song so now I need to pick something new and I have no idea. Maybe "I'm yours" Jason Mraz

Hubby and I are walking down the aisle together to At Last by Etta James. It was our fist dance song at our wedding and it's way of saying goodbye to is since we have a new first dance song for our vow renewal.

We only have a MOH and BM and haven't decided if they will even have a song to walk to. It will all be so quick.
