I know someone who just got married that used “red carpet” as their theme for their wedding ! So basically people had to dress as if they were walking on the red carpet ! Dope ! What are some themes you guys are using for your wedding ? I need help choosing

We don't have an official theme, but a lot of our decor and items such as vow books, guest book, etc. fall into a forest theme!

When I think of "theme" I think of stuff like Disney, Harry Potter, etc. Color schemes and whatnot, for some reason I wouldn't consider a theme as much as a vibe/aesthetic/motif. Maybe I'm weird haha.

The vibe we went for was classy and Southern. My DH works in forest products so we incorporated some wooden stuff as well.

Edit: my concern about a red carpet theme would be that the dress code for red carpet and black tie I'd think would be similar? So was the couple trying to get people to dress up...?

A lot of people don’t like the word theme for some reason although it means the same as aesthetic/vibe/etc that they have no issues with. Everyone is having a vibe/aesthetic of some sort. Whether you call a theme or not, you are still making the elements somewhat cohesive instead of tossed together. It’s nothing to freak out over.

That said, we’re going for gothic glam dark romance Halloween party, unless plans change unexpectedly. Colors will be black, dark red, touches of dark purple, silver.
No costumes required or expected but everyone we have mentioned it to (only among our intended guest list) is excited to attend.

We're having a Disney-themed wedding! Each table will be designed around different Disney movies including our guest book, dessert, place card, and gift tables! In total for tables we're using Moana, Lilo & Stitch, Nightmare Before Christmas, Little Mermaid, Winnie the Pooh, Aladdin, Micky & Minnie, Cinderella, Snow White, Mulan, Tangled, Aristocats, Beauty and the Beast, Coco, Up, Frozen, Paperman and Princess and the Frog. We also are including Disney music in our ceremony/special dances.

Our proposed cake design with our baker

Our’s started as more mature inspired from our hikes. We wanted greenery…moss and ferns. We’re now adding a touch of celestial elements as we both love astronomy and being outdoors under the night sky…that’ll be the theme of the reception at least. There’s going to be some vintage touches here and there as we saw a paper moon prop as a photo both that we had made for our photo booth. My dress has a vintage vibe and I’m having some vintage candle holders that’ll be spread throughout a moss table runner with colored vintage goblets. I guess you could say we have 3 themes but we’re integrating them to make them somehow cohesive.

These centerpieces are super interesting looking! I'm in the process of collecting bottles for my centerpieces but we're going more with a boho vibe. This looks super cool though

When we started planning, we didn't really have a theme in mind other than wanting to include pops of ourselves in things. Well. I happen to love Disney so our theme kind of became a hidden Mickey theme. We are going to have Mickey heads hidden all over the place in a very subtle way. For example, my bouquet is going to have Mickey shaped flower pins in it, our cake is going to have Mickey heads swirled in, our Mr. and Mrs. sign has Mickey heads in the holes for the Rs, and we have a few Disney songs that will be played. Oh, and our guestbook is a castle that says Happily Ever After with our names and date on it. Still trying to cohesively include my FH into things in the wedding...
