Morning? Afternoon? Evening? What time will your wedding ceremony start? Did you choose the time or was it set by your venue? Photo from Jackie & Derek's wedding, by Rebecca Yale Photography

We picked 6pm as we didn't want an early wedding. There was no way I was having a morning or afternoon wedding because I'm not a morning person, and didn't want to be up too early for hair and makeup.

Ours will start at 6:30. Starting a bit later since it's a Friday wedding.

7pm (after sunset) on a Saturday because it's a Jewish ceremony preformed by FH's childhood rabbi.

Our ceremony is at 3:30 p.m... the final decision was a collaboration between myself and the DOC at the venue. She let me know that sunset was predicted for 5 p.m. that night and we based the rest of our decisions off of that! We are hoping to finish up cocktail hour around 5:15, that way FH and I can get some photos in (after family pictures) during sunset at our riverside venue right before the reception begins.

Late morning, chosen by our venue. I was a little bummed because I wanted an afternoon wedding. Our reception is also restricted to 3 hours, so we can't exactly party into the evening unless we set up an after party. Not real butthurt though, it's probably the perfect amount of time so our guests can drive home (semi-destination wedding) or to the hotel, or tourist around, or join us to party on the beach until dark.

6pm on a Saturday. Reception immediately after until midnight. The museum had multiple times available so We picked it. Saturday works best for the majority of our guests and us

Our venue recommended a 6pm ceremony due to the summer heat in Temecula so ours is 6pm-11pm, we can arrive early to get ready.

Planning on early afternoon ceremony around 12-1 ☺️ We don’t want a long reception, so we assume afternoon is more appropriate!

We're thinking 6 pm (on a Friday). We have the venue the whole day but want our guests to have time to get there after work.
