What time does your venue require you to shut it down

I have had zero luck when it comes to finding a venue for the reception and it's already an up hill battle because FH is set on having a d.w in Costa Rica, so we are checking out a few locally and we can not find any thing. I have had zero luck when it comes to finding a venue for the reception and it's already an up hill battle because FH is set on having a d.w in Costa Rica, so we are checking out a few locally and we can not find any thing.

There was one that I fell in love with on a private estate but they require every thing to be shut down by 11. Does that seem early to any one else?

    Our contract is for 1am....but we can't afford to pay the DJ that late...so we plan to do last dance at 10pm, then figure people will mill around and not everyone will immediately bolt out the door...but we'll still have time for clean-up...(and we get $300 back on our venue fee if we clean up)...and there are many local bars and clubs we can carry the party over to....we'll just see what everyone suggests and wants and go with it as far as if / where we carry over to
