What Time in the day?

Mrs. Spring, on November 9, 2020 at 12:49 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
I preferred a morning ceremony vow exchange in a park only 3 guests, with brunch following afterwards... But, with mandates from COVID I'm so afraid they are going to get stricter such as:

-all petsons must wear a mask outside unless persons is on their own private property.

If this happens then I wouldn't want to marry in a park and would just exchange vows in a nice airbnb with FH. The issue is, I'm frugal and only want to pay for our wedding night's airbnb stay and most check in are 3pm or later so getting married in the morning in an aibnb wouldn't be an option unless I pay for mylultiple nights.
What time in the day do you plan on getting married? Why did you choose that time frame?

Unfortunately, Airbnbs are allowing events so that might not really be an option.

This is correct, but you can still rent an airbnb with up to 12 people. I don't think the ban on events would apply to OP because it's so small.

Where you live will determine how strict the rules get but I highly doubt you will see this happen: all persons must wear a mask outside unless on private property. I live in a state with strict COVID rules, thankfully, and they never got to that level. That said, weddings in parks usually require permits (even without COVID) and gatherings in parks were definitely not permitted here until recently.

You should check with your local parks department and see what steps you need to take to hold a wedding in the park you want. Then for the brunch bit, again your local restrictions will guide whether that can be out at a restaurant or if takeout would be a better option.

Yes, I know at the moment it varies by where you live, but I'm paranoid that in the future state of things, there could be FEDERAL mandates with COVID. My mom refuses to dine inside unless she's in the privacy of her own home since COVID. Yes, I have already checked. No permit required if less then 10 ppl. There will be a total of 5 people for ours.

Oh no, you didn't even answer my question.
I checked and 5 people inside an aibnb wouldnt qualify as an event.

Well, to answer your question we got married at 4:30 and our venue selected the time.

I have the same threshold for exposure that your mom does, so for me, and her, it wouldn't matter at all if (extremely unlikely) federal restrictions that you fear were enacted. Your mom needs a place to eat out of doors. So if you want her there, you need to plan for that, regardless of increased or decreased restrictions by April.

Looks like you have the park thing figured out (no permit needed), so then you just look for a local restaurant with an outdoor patio, or do a picnic at the park. Then the time of day would be entirely up to your choice, your officiant's availability, and your choice of restaurant vs. picnic.

Planning to marry in the late afternoon to allow for a dinner reception. Note thought that my wedding would be in 2022 because I anticipate that COVID restrictions would no longer prevent my 150-person wedding by then.

Every wedding I have attended has started 3-4pm, whether it's a cake and punch reception that last 2 hrs or one that lasts all night. So that seemed like the best time frame. Plus we only looked at venues with no time restrictions on arriving or leaving.
