Next Question: Time out! How much time between your ceremony and reception?

3:30pm! It’s on a Sunday so we wanted to be respectful of any local guests who wanted to get home that night.

6:00 pm on a Friday evening. We don't get access to the venue until 4:30 pm so 6:00 it is!

Oof, that could have been a close call! And you have all weekend to recover too! Are you decorating your venue yourself?

Ours starts at 5. My luck, day light savings begins the next day here in Texas, so we'll miss out on that extra hour of light for photos, but we'll still get our sunset pictures within a reasonable time! Smiley smile

We are decorating ourselves but our venue is very nicely decorated so we really only have table centerpieces to put out. My brother has offered to take the set up lead so FH and I can do a first look and take some photos together before the ceremony.

My wedding is only 4 hours long and it's starting at 8pm. And we aren't having a dinner just appetizers and desserts

I want candlelit ceremony but early enough for dinner at a reasonable time for my family so since sunset is at approximately 4:00 we are shooting to start at 3:45 - cause our church's tradition is to start services on the 45's (Sunday mornings are always 7:45 spoken, 8:45 family, 9:45 Sunday school/coffee hour, and 10:45 traditional with choir). I also feel like a 45 start time will be just different enough to stick in people's mind so everyone will be on time.

It's standing out in my mind, Jennifer! But I like how you're keeping with your church's tradition with your start time. It makes me happy. Smiley smile

6:30pm. We'll be in TX Hill Country and we want it to happen right before sunset so we can take sunset pictures during cocktail hour.
