What time is your evening ceremony starting?

Felicity, on January 15, 2018 at 3:56 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 19
What time is your evening ceremony going to start? I was planning on 6:30, but I just wanted to see what everybody else is doing.

We are pushing toward 4:30, or 5. I want a lot of pretty pictures with the sun setting.

I'm actually not the best to ask for this because my reception starts at 8 and it'll probably go until 4 in the morning lol

We both have large Greek families and Greek receptions last at least 7 hours.

I would assume though, that any other wedding would go until 11 - 11:30ish?

I totally understand lol. My wedding will be just family and we were planning on shutting everything down at around 10 and having an after party somewhere else. Whether it will be IHOP or our hotel, I have no clue 😂

Depends on the time of year and venue. My wedding is at the end of feb and outdoors so we are starting the ceremony at 4 to have a beautiful sunset and better lighting for the photos.

We're getting married in October and our photographers suggested we start at 4-430 for an evening wedding.

We're starting at 5:30, which our venue recommended. Ideally, half hour ceremony, cocktail hour 6-7, reception 7-11. That said, we'll have sunlight until 8:30 (yay June!), so we didn't have to take light into consideration.
