What time should i get my hair and makeup done!?

Jessica, on June 28, 2018 at 7:04 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 8
My ceremony starts at 6pm on the beach in Florida. It will be October so it won’t be super hot.
My time management skills sucks. What time should I go get my hair and makeup done?
I keep seeing brides get it done super early, but I know mine won’t last 12+ hours

It depends on what all else you have going on that day!! My ceremony is at 12:30 and I am doing hair at 7:30 and makeup at 10. I would count backwards from your ceremony to include pictures, firt look, travel time, meals, etc. and fit it in as close as possible to the ceremony without crowding anything. Just allot yourself more time than needed! I would guess somewhere right after lunch would work great for you!Smiley smile

I think it depends on if you are doing a first look and pictures beforehand, as well as if your bridal party is getting theirs done by the same person etc....we started around 1130am for a 4pm wedding..for 3 adults getting hair and makeup done, then mr daughter also got hers done...but they started with me so I could be done for photose by 130pm.

Are you the only one getting your hair and makeup done? Do you plan to do pictures or a first look before the ceremony? What time do you need/want to arrive at the ceremony? I would talk to your HMUA and your DOC to come up with a timeline. Start backwards from the time of the ceremony. If your ceremony starts at 6 pm and you want to arrive and do touch ups by 5:30, plan to do a first look or photos before the ceremony for an hour and a half or so, that puts you at 4 pm. It will take you some time to get dressed after hair and makeup, and your photographer may want to do bridal photos with just you after you're dressed, so I would schedule about an hour for that. That puts you at about 3 pm at the latest to finish your hair and makeup.

I’m getting married at 5pm on the beach! My hair/makeup start at 11:30. I’m doing pictures at 2! Starting with a first look with my daddy, first look with FH, on to family and bridal party pictures. My goal is to have all pictures done minus sunset photos before ceremony! I’m also wearing airbrush makeup in hopes it will not sweat off during a hot summer day!

My wedding is at 6pm 16 days from now.
    Its outside in the humidity.
Im getting my hair and makeup done starting at 12. It took 1 hour 15 min to do my hair trial.
My venue is 40 min from my house.
i figure if I’m done by 4pm at salon I will have an hour to get dressed.

Factor in your drive time, how long it takes you to dress(takes me 3 min to get my dress on and “adjusted”) shoes jewelry etc. and then that will tell you what time for hair/makeup.
Also your trial will help gauge how long the process takes as well.

I’m not sure how your hair will be done but my hair trial took over an hour and I got a top knot with a back braid. Not super fancy but curling iron was used.
You only allow yourself 2.5 hours for hair makeup any traveling(to/from salon and to picture spot) and getting dressed(jewelry shoes potty break etc)
    thats not much time.

I have the stylist traveling to me. My girls are starting at 9:30. We are doing a destination wedding so everything will happen at our resort. I will just walk outside for pictures!
