What time to schedule make up?

Nicole, on March 12, 2020 at 10:59 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 6

What time did you schedule your make up for ? my wedding starts at 5 but we have an hour to set up so I will be at the venue a little bit before 4pm. Make up application will be an hour and its just me getting my make up done but I still have to do my hair which will be simple down and curled (what I am thinking for now).

Are you doing a first look? Are you getting ready at the venue? Our ceremony was at 5, we got ready at the venue. My hair and makeup was done around 4:15 PM. I did none of the set up, and did a first look with my dad.

No first look or getting ready at the venue its a brewery so they don't really have a suit or room to get ready in.

I'd allow yourself an extra 20-30 minutes before the ceremony to arrive at the venue. Typically bridal hair & makeup takes around an hour per service.

Were you planning to do other photos before the ceremony though even if you didn’t do first look ?

Your make-up artist will set up the time knowing how long it will take. She probably can advise you on whether you should do your hair first or last. The question is whether or not you are getting "getting ready" pictures done.
