What to do about lipstick

I’ve hired a makeup artist for my wedding day. But I just started thinking, shouldn’t I bring my own lipstick so that I can touch it up throughout the night? I’m afraid with all the kissing, talking, eating, and drinking throughout the night, it will fade super fast!

Here to ditto Mcskipper! 😁 When you do your trial of your wedding day look, ask for the brand and color so you can order a tube/stick or two for your wedding day. And then you can wear it again on your honeymoon and other date nights! 😁

My MUA is actually requiring me to bring my own lipstick on wedding day. She said it’s more hygienic. Not sure why they can’t just use a one time applicator, but oh well. It will be better for touch ups anyway. At my trial I told her to tell me exactly what lipstick to buy because I’m not a regular lipstick user.

Mostly, it is a matter of knowing yourself. I have a sister who could get pro make up, live with it and wear it to bed 3 nights running even in hot weather, and need to get out cleansing cream to get it off. Her upper lip and forehead never sweat, she never unconsciously rubs her eyes, never leans on her elbow with her chin and lower lip cupped in her thumb and forefinger, never gnaws on her lower lip, and gives her lips the tiniest pat against a cloth napkin after fried chicken and gravy. Me, I keep the makeup replacement sales figures high.
I sweat, I move, I touch, I rub, I not only rest chin in hand, I bring the whole right palm up and rest the side of my face against it often, a deeply ingrained mannerism. And I always carry replacement makeup, my own purchase, or handed to me by a make-up person. Or look like a toddler after dinner round the mouth, and in hours like a raccoon around the eyes. ...
