What to do about rehearsal dinner

CountryBride, on July 15, 2021 at 1:26 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 8

It was brought up an idea to have our rehearsal dinner at Casabonita, We live in Colorado and if you have been to Colorado or seen South park we have a restaurant that is an experience to go there, that is about 20 minutes east of our venue, However, the food is horrible, Mexican food Tv dinners is a smidge better quality, My fiance and his family and most of our out of town family members who would be coming to the rehearsal has never eaten there and always says next time we are out we need to go to Casabonita, I don't mind going but I don't want food poisoning the day of my wedding, so I guess the question is do we just have the wedding rehearsal there knowing it has bad food or do we go somewhere else that has better food but not the experience,

I personally wouldn't host anything there if you know that the food is horrible. I would just let my guest go there on their own time if they still want to experience that restaurant.

Food is always more important than the experience imo. Especially if you’re hosting

I agree with the previous comments. I would find somewhere else to host the rehearsal dinner.

Nothing you wrote makes Casabonita sound like a good choice for your rehearsal dinner. The people who want to eat there can make their own arrangements to do so, unrelated to the wedding.

Pick a place with quality food. That will be a better experience overall.

Casa Bonita is still closed from the pandemic. There’s a group of people trying to save it, but it hasn’t been open for over a year 😞

I take that back - I just saw they are planning to re-open in September! As a Denver native, I’d say it would be a blast to have a rehearsal dinner at Casa Bonita! Yeah, the food sucks, but that’s part of the joke/ambiance. I was actually hoping to have my bachelorette there 🤣

If you don’t like the food, why would you go there for an important meal? Find some place else you like better.
