What to do when vendors dont respond?

Alyssa.greenlee, on June 23, 2021 at 5:09 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

I have two vendors that we have been trying to get a hold of for about 2 -2 1/2 weeks now with no response. One of these vendors (DJ) we have paid down a deposit. The other (Bakery) we didn't need to pay a deposit. My wedding is on August 7th, 2021 and I am getting worried that they aren't responding. I have sent multiple emails and text messages but don't want to come off rude and offend them.

What do I do now!? Do I start looking into new vendors since my wedding is only about 6 weeks away!? Help!!

Unless it's less than a month before your wedding, I wouldn't worry. These vendors have been swamped with emails between cancelled, postponed, rescheduled weddings. Most of them are now doing multiple weddings/events a week (especially since it's grad season as well). Yes, it's good business practice to return communication but almost all of our vendors stated they did not want to finalize details until 2-4 weeks before.

I agree. If you're really anxious calling them is the best way to go.

I agree with JM Sunshine - try not to panic!!

I'd also try switching up your communication method - try calling if you've been emailing (or vice versa) and you could also try stopping by the bakery in person!
