So I'm sentimental...(DH calls it a clutter hoarder)...but I tend to keep a lot of things...and our wedding cards, to say the least are one of those things I've decided I want to keep. So I'm sentimental...(DH calls it a clutter hoarder)...but I tend to keep a lot of things...and our wedding cards, to say the least are one of those things I've decided I want to keep. Just like a wedding guestbook, I want to be able to go back and reread the cards...smiling at all the beautiful words left in them. But what the heck do I do with the 50+ cards we received when we got engaged and married??

Well, problem solved! For awhile, they were still sitting in the card box I made for the wedding...they look terrible thrown into this box and I'd really like to be able to display them...nicely...and in a way DH doesn't look at it as clutter hoarding. Smiley smile

I found this AWESOME DIY card book...and I'm super excited to give it a try! Looks kind of complicated, but well worth it!

Are you ladies planning on keeping your engagement/wedding cards? If so, what have you done or are you going to do with them?

Here's the tutorial: http://somethingturquoise.com/page/4/

Cydney J - you and I are so on the same page for crafts. I had the card book AND the ornament pinned too! HAH.

I was considering doing something a little different with our cards, I am planning to create an "art quilt" with the cards, I will sew together our favorite cards and messages with our vows in the center. Depending on how it turns out, I plan to frame it and hang it in our home. However, for those that don't get used in the quilt, I'll likely make a book out of them!

@Sara P ... maybe you can make a card holder like this one and just continue to add to it for your bdays. Smiley smile It has an open ring so you can continue to add! Smiley smile

@Carline P ... what a fantastic idea! Smiley smile I hope you post it for all of us to see!!! Smiley smile

I receive lot of Indian wedding cards since my mom is an Indian. I feel Cydney shared a nice idea to have a card holder and have all the invitations together.
