What to do with venue stage

So our venue has a stage in the main room where everyone will be eating and dancing. We're planning on having the dance floor area right in front of the stage and we're still working out the logistics of where FH and I will sit. The only thing is, I don't know what to do with the stage. I don't feel comfortable sitting at a sweetheart table on the stage and being raised higher than everyone else. We don't have a DJ or a band to put up there either. I thought about using the stage as an area for a photo booth but I worry that might look distracting. If we just ignore the stage entirely I feel like that might look strange too. Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
