So About 3 months ago, My Fiance' and I were purchasing a car. In this dealership they have this wheel were the buyer can spin for a chance to win different prizes. So About 3 months ago, My Fiance' and I were purchasing a car. In this dealership they have this wheel were the buyer can spin for a chance to win different prizes. The highest prize was a trip for two to italy -- although we didn't get that we got a cruise trip for two! My thought was I'll take it.. So basically a free honeymoon -- after paying the taxes which is way less than would we would pay for the trip..

My question is what should i pack? I've never been on a cruise -- not sure if I can even handle the motion - but it was pretty much .. sort of free... ANY ADVICE..

What should i pack? Other than the obvious.. Thanks, Ladies!

Cruisecritic.com - join the forums on there - a heeeeeeeeaaaap of information.

We cruised out of Port Canaveral on Carnival Ecstasy Nov 2012 if you have any questions.

    Things to pack:

1- dramamine for sure - I usually don't get seasick (have been on 4 cruises & we boat regularly at home) and all it took was some 45 mph winds with high seas to have me feeling like I was going to lose my dinner ..........actually, all it took was the 45 minute bus ride from the airport to the hotel with a crazy lady driving to make me wish I took dramamine lmao

2- on Carnival (wait...are you going on Carnival or no? I just saw it in the picture) you can bring 1 bottle of wine/champagne per person and 1 12 pack of soda per person (we brought orange juice instead for Mimosas!) - just put it with your carry on stuff

3- clothes from bathing suits to formalwear - on a 7 night cruise I believe there will be 2 formal nights in the Main Dining Room

Your best bet is to get a passport...its easier and it lasts 10 years. Worth it to me.

To piggy back off of Ashley's post, typically having a window or balcony also seems to help with motion sickness. So upgrading may not be a bad suggestion if you worry about getting sick.

Since were talking about Passports give a copy to your Travel Agent. So if you lose it you can contact your agent on ship to assist. Yep its a true story! Also agents look for problem passports. Like if they are about to expire..

    Carnival Cruise

upgrade to ocean view or higher. They have a couch which is nice

Don't cheap out and not go to the Speciality Dinning. Some of my clients I get that as a gift and they say its the best meal they have ever had!

Get Faster to the Fun with Carnival before it sells out. It always sells out

The newlywed couple picked for the couples game show is usually someone who is married on the ship.

Book your Shore Excursions ahead. Why would you want to waste time on the ship deciding if you want to snorkel? Plan ahead

Bring a Nightlight for the room and a air freshener. You will thank me later LOL

You get a paper everyday on activities. So if there is special party at night thats where everyone is at.. Understand the show times.

Also if that cruise is not Carnival its a Scam. So make sure you booking on Carnival. Company's can buy a certificate, but I would still be cautious.

Motion sickness pills. And don't overpack clothes. Plan out your outfits by day and take a pretty dress for formal. I plan all my outfits ahead of time whenever I go on a cruise. This way I take just what I need
