My Maid of Honor is throwing me a "Breakfast at Tiffanys" themed bridal shower back home (NY, I currently live in NC) for the family there. She wants to know where I am registering to add to the invite. My fiance and I have been together for 10 years, so we already have household stuff and were not really planning a honeymoon... what should I tell her to put on there? Also, I am driving to NY for a weekend wedding and they are planning the bridal shower then... so bringing home gifts is limited.

If you really want or need nothing. Pick a charity. Like dogs? Have a shelter themed shower have people bring gifts for a recuse and drop them off before you leave town.

    Women's shelters.

    Youth outreach.

    A million options.

The point of a shower is gifts. Have one for a cause.

Also, please change your avatar to something other than the rings (your avatar isn't the same pic as the background of the app). They are associated with spam/trolls, so it will help you get more responses to your posts. It also makes the threads easier to read. Here's how to change it: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/welcome-new-users-faq-lingo-and-guidelines/736e1073af1a0860.html

My FH and I have all the stuff we need to but I plan on registering for new towels, sheets and some pots and pans. New stuff is always nice! Make a small registry at least.

I thought we had everything we needed...and we do. But a KitchenAid, some Le Creuset, and upscale sheets aren't "needs" but "wants", and I am sooooo looking forward to using them!

We have a lot of kitchen things already too but I registered for all stainless steel appliances and beautiful beaded Lenox trays. Just some classic pieces honestly.

I like the honeyfund.com idea! Either way your guests will be spending money. ..why not put it towards something the bride (couple) will actually use!

You can register for your cake cutter and champagne flutes to use at your wedding. You can register for picture frames and photo albums specifically for your wedding photos. Anything but the honey fund.

Honey funds are bad for 2 reasons,

    1) grown adults know how to give money. They don't need you to tell them and it is rude to ask or imply.

    2) when using said websites, the couple isn't getting the full amount. Would you rather uncle Bob cut you a check for $100 or use your website and you only get $90? They take a percentage for their operations.

Please don't do Honeyfund. You are basically using a 3rd party for your guests to give you money and that 3rd party is taking a cut of the money. Just do a small registry - add games, fun entertaining items you don't have - maybe for outdoors. Upgrade! Upgrade! Upgrade! I'm in my 40's and don't really need anything, but am super excited to have new things to start our marriage together. Have fun with it!

I'm laughing so hard over the fact that Candice considers a night cruise more useful than a Kitchen aid.... "something they'll actually use?" Ahhh yes because no one uses sheets anymore.

Photo albums, picture frames, nice towels, sheets, pillows, knife set, maybe some nice bridal slippers/shoes for the day of getting ready? Getting really nice towels, sheets, pillows is amazing and something I'm looking forward to! Or board games/puzzles is really fun too!
