What to Wear - Bridal Shower Painting Party

So, I had found this super cute fun white party dress that I planned on wearing to my bridal shower this weekend. However, I found out from my FMIL that the day will begin with a painting party before lunch and wine tasting. I’m so excited about the events and know it will be a blast...but I don’t know if wearing a white dress to a painting event is a wise life decision. I’m sure there will be aprons but I don’t trust myself not to spill! The party isn’t casual but not overly fancy...The day will mostly be outside at a vineyard and then wherever we have lunch. It’s probably going to be hot since I live in Southern California. Help a sister out! What do I wear?

What if you wear something casual for the painting party then change into your dress?

Oh, I hadn’t thought of that! That could definitely work, although I’m not sure when or where I would change...is it too over the top to have a costume change at a bridal shower?!

I'd just wear the white dress. I'm super clumsy and I've done paint parties before and never gotten any on my clothes so I think you'll be fine.

I'd just wear the dress! I've done plenty of painting parties, am number one at spilling and have never spilled on myself. Just keep that apron tight and be very careful!

Thanks y’all! You’ve given me some confidence to just wear the dress! I’ll just be verrrry careful. And maybe bring a sweatshirt or something to put on over it while I paint!

I had a paint party after my shower (my bachelorette was after my shower) and I ended up getting paint on my cute outfit. This was with wearing an apron. When I washed my outfit the paint didn't come out I wish I had changed! If you would be bummed to get paint on your outfit (and the chance it could get ruined) I would recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting paint on.
