what to wear - dance lessons

Pretty much anything you'd work out in: yoga pants- capris pants- reasonably fitted shirt. I go to dance right after the gym- so comfie pants- supportive bra- shoes- I'd ask for what they suggest if you don't have a specific pair designated.

That type of dance are you doing?

I've worn dresses, leggings with a tee, shorts and a tee all with my wedding shoes

I generally go with a sleeveless cotton tank (I get hot pretty quickly dancing), sports bra, bottoms I can move in, and ballroom dance shoes. If you don't have ballroom shoes, any flexible closed-toe shoe that will stay on (so, not any kind of slip-on) should work. Smooth or suede soles are easier to dance in than rubber, I find.

This is for our first dance.

We've been going for our first dance as well. My wedding shoes have worked fine and any outfit you can move comfortably in.

I'm doing a slightly different first dance (it's a hula) but I actually brought my hoop skirt that I'll be wearing under my dress to get an idea of how full my dress will be and how to move in it. If you're wearing anything underneath like that I'd bring it with you.

I would wear your wedding shoes and a skirt of similar fit as your wedding dress so you know how limited your movement will be.

I went to all of ours straight from work so I was usually in jeans and a sweater or t-shirt. I just made sure to have my heels with me. Have fun! Dance class is so much fun!

I would recommend to wear something similar to your wedding dress, lenght wise and similar shoes so you can simulate the way it will feel during your special day. Important to feel comfortable while your first dance performance!
