What to wear to a traditional Muslim wedding?

My friend is getting married in August in an indoor venue. They are having a traditional Muslim wedding and I have no idea what is proper to wear. Obviously I can go by the black tie or black tie optional on the invite (she hasn't chosen yet), but are there any specific do's or don'ts? I want to...

Obviously I can go by the black tie or black tie optional on the invite (she hasn't chosen yet), but are there any specific do's or don'ts? I want to make sure I am respectful on their big day. They are not Indian, and I can't find any information on Muslim weddings that are not also Indian. Thanks! How would this be for black tie optional? https://www.renttherunway.com/shop/designers/kate_spade_new_york/perfect_era_dress

I just went to my friend's traditional Nikah a few months ago -- As the others say, I would ask her what the proper attire is.

The ceremony I attended was actually in the Mosque, so out of respect and the location, I had my head covered in a hijab, and wore a floor length romper/pantsuit with a jacket over it to cover my arms. When we left and went to the reception, I removed the head cover and the jacket!

I will say your safest bet, regardless of whether it's in a house of worship or not, would be a floor length dress in order to show respect for the culture, and bring a wrap/shawl for your arms for the ceremony!

Beatrice that orange dress is very pretty!

Lindsey, her normal dress is really traditional. Long sleeve, floor length dresses with a hijab.

I’m Iranian and in Iran we wear normal clothes like here to weddings - formal gowns, almost prom like. Unless it’s in a mosque (you have to cover legs, cleavage, and hair) then there are no rules to the guests!
