What to wear while getting ready?

Hi everyone!

I wanted some suggestions on what to wear while getting my hair and makeup done. I am having my hair and makeup done at a salon off site downtown. I don't feel comfortable with wearing a robe because I will be in public. I thought a flannel would be good because it would button down and not ruin my hair, but last year it was 90+ degrees on my wedding day. I also didn't want to wear a bra at all that day because my dress is backless and I don't want to have bra lines.


Any suggestions on what to wear so I don't feel self conscious, too hot, or ruin my hair and makeup?

    I would just wear sweat pants and an oversized button up shirt that way it wont go over your head

    My bridesmaids and I are getting ready in tank tops and leggings. Something stretchy we can pull over our heads.

    I wore a wrap dress so it didn't need to go over my head. Any loose strappy dress that you can just drop down rather than take over the top would work too

    Order a cute bride T-shirt on Etsy and wear a bandeau with it so there are no bra lines!

    Maybe a stretchy tank top with a build in bra or one of those sticky bras so there are no marks on your back? Depending on how comfortable you are I'd say just go braless... but at least with a cami type tank top you could slide it down when it comes time to change. You just really want to avoid pulling anything over your head once your hair and makeup is done

    Etsy has these cute lace robes, I'm going to wear those! They come with white slips.

    I would look for a dress that buttons down the front or a loose tank top/shorts that can be removed easily without messing up your hair. I personally just wore a bra (didn't wear it for the wedding) but that's my comfort level. I second someone else's recommendation of a bandeau bra. Either way I wouldn't worry too much. At the salon I got my hair done the only other people there was another group of women getting ready for a different wedding.
