Oh definitely. I had a very rough childhood (abusive mom) and have always felt like I didn't belong in my own family. Guess you could say an outsider is what I felt like. So kinda seeing what a family is supposed to be like, has been awesome.

We like Vodkas. Fruity types. Things we can't find on Louisiana. Here lately, we've been drinking them on the weekends. Lol
We had one that was fruot infused that was awesome. Couldn't tell you the name but it was good. We are headed to Gatlinburg in February and are excited to see what we find.

Very cool that you have a show that you like to watch together! My fiance and I also have a couple shows we always watch together. We unexpectedly got into reality TV shows when there was literally nothing good on TV one night, so we ended up watching 90 Day Fiance. Ever since then, we found a few reality TV shows that we routinely watch. How did you guys decide on The Great British Baking Show to be the one you watch together? And that's very sweet that he tucks you and the dog in to bed every night!

That is really cool! Candy is also super easy to transport, so that's a great travel tradition! What types of candies have been the most memorable ones that you've found on a trip? Also, the TV shows are a good way to spend time together as well.

I actually started watching a few of the first episodes by myself, then stopped watching. One night I suggested we watch it together, and he loved it! We really like how the contestants and hosts are so genuine and sweet to one another. Yeah he can be sweet sometimes! 😉😂

I remember reading about the swordfight you had at your wedding!! That sounds so fun, I bet your guests loved it! And very cool that you met through theater! My fiance and I met through one of our sports leagues, and it's an activity that we love participating in together (sometimes on the same team, sometimes not). Do you and your husband usually participate in the same shows?

I'm so sorry to hear about your rough childhood! You definitely deserve a positive and welcoming family, and I'm glad that your fiance's family has been so welcoming and inclusive of you. Family relationships can certainly be tough to navigate. My fiance's family is toxic, so I don't have a relationship with them, but my family has welcomed my fiance since day one, so we focus more on them and other people who are a positive part in our lives.

It's ok. Just something I've had to learn to live with. Our situation is flipped. My family is toxic so he doesn't have the relationship with mine that I do with his. I feel bad because I want him to have what I have with his family. He won't let anyone hurt me again though.

We alternate for the most part. I loveeee being super active on trips with tours & sightseeing, where my fiancé loves to do some sightseeing but leans more towards tropical trips. We use Groupon to find deals on the trip and activities. We also use Pinterest to find trip ideas and itineraries. Then we’ll come up with our own list of what we’d like to do. For our honeymoon we’ll probably do something tropical because my fiancé said he doesn’t wanna be up at 5A until 10P doing trips 🤣.

Fridays are movie night at home, and on Sundays I make us a big breakfast, then we go and take a walk downtown or go somewhere scenic. Every summer we go across the country to see my side of the family (sometimes we drive, sometimes we fly).

Sometimes, people learn about the coolest things from their significant other! I love that he was able to find a new show from your recommendation that he really enjoys!

It's incredible what kind of deals are available on Groupon! My fiance and I have gotten great deals on hotels, activities, etc. from there for when we travel. Very cool that you alternate deciding on where to go!

Ooh right!! That makes sense. Sorry for my dumb question, I'm not really familiar with how the theater world works (though I love watching plays and performances and such!), so auditions didn't even cross my mind.

Love the idea of movie nights! Do you stick to a specific genre? Or do you watch all kinds of different movies? Walks are also a great tradition! My fiance and I like to go for hikes on occasion, and we've had some really great conversations on those hikes.

Loveeeee Groupon! If you ever do any city trips you should look into city passes. We used it for Boston and it was awesome! You get to do so many activities for a set price and we used the trolly which was included to get around! (Def helped save with driving and parking costs). Do you guys have any fun trips you’d recommend??

Ooh, thank you for the idea on the city passes! We'll have to look into it! We also recently found out that there are some airport lounges on Groupon, so my fiance and I decided that we're gonna start reserving those if they're available at airports when we have long layovers!

As for trips I recommend, I think two of our all-time favorites have been: 1. the Portland, Oregon area - there is SO much to go see! Lots of great hiking and scenery. Mt Hood, Multnomah Falls, drive out to the beach, lots of great restaurants downtown Portland, rose garden, Japanese garden, and Trillium Lake, just to name a few of our favorite spots. 2. Denver, Colorado (and surrounding area). You can take a bus out to Boulder for the day and visit the shops and/or hike at Chautauqua Park (highly recommend!!), see a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater (once COVID is over), lots of great restaurants downtown Denver (there was one breakfast place in particular that we loved, but I can't remember the name at the moment, I'd have to look it up), etc. Do you have any fun trips that you especially recommend?
