What type of necklace?

Laura, on September 26, 2019 at 2:06 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13
So I tried on a few different necklaces while I was wearing the dress. None of these were mine but I'm trying to decide the best route to go. So, which of these general types of necklace do you think look best with my dress style? Or if you think something else would look even better, I definitely want to know! I never wear jewelry so I'm not well versed in what looks best with what. I also don't own any of these so it's more looking at what I should be looking to buy or borrow, these belonged to my best friend's FMIL. I personally really liked the pearl necklace with the big teardrop pendant.

I love Pearl's with any wedding dress! It always looks so elegant. My mom gifted me her wedding day pearls, a short chain of them that falls similar to yours but without the tear drop at the end.

I think a simple strand of pearls would look absolutely stunning with your dress. I do like the second one but part of me feels like the size of the pendant takes away from the dress a little bit. But it's definitely beautiful!

I love the pearl teardrop. I'm not crazy about the 3rd one with your dress.

I like the first one best! I like pearls but I agree with pp that the size of the teardrop takes away from the dress. But if you like that one best, you should go for it! Whatever you're comfortable in and feel good in

My concern is that a skinny chain like that would "get lost" on me so to speak. I'm not small so I just feel like it wouldnt be balanced.

I would go with the first one but i also agree with PPs in saying simpler is better because let the dress be your statement piece

I like number 2 the best for a classier look. Number three is a good option for a more chic look.

My big concern with something that has a thin chain is that it'll "get lost" on me so to speak. I'm not small (that dress is a size 22 for reference) so I feel like a tiny pendant on a tinier chain would barely even show up in pictures and such.

I would say simpler is better too. I honestly don't think a smaller or thinner chain would get lost on you. I really think it would accent the neckline of your already beautiful dress.
