What type of signs should I have?

I am at a loss as to what types of signs I should have. Can anyone give some ideas as to what you are doing?

I know I need one for the cake table, gift table but not sure where else they would be appropriate.

You could do a little one at the bar stating what drinks you're providing, but really signs aren't totally necessary. If you look up "wedding signs" on pinterest, you'll get lots of ideas.

Guestbook table, gifts and cards table, if your having a dessert table maybe put a "love is sweet" sign.

I made this sign on the computer. Since our ceremony is at the beach I bought paper with a beach watermark looking background and I'm going to frame it with some shells. I've also seen chalkboard or wooden signs too on Pinterest

Most of them, honestly, are superflous. Do you need to identify your guest book, your cake? Are people really so lame they can't tell a cake from say, a card box?

All you really need is a sign for sig drinks if you're doing them.

To me this is the wedding industries way of adding an unnecessary cost. I don't need a sign that says cake I know what it is by looking at it! However, if you have a non traditional guestbook I would suggest something asking people to sign it, so they know that is what it is there for. I am have a sign describing the cupcake flavors and the guestbook, but that is it.

I am only doing a sign at the bar that lists the beers and wine we have available. And only because we are doing 2 kegs of light beer and a bunch of pony kegs of craft.

I agree with AnewH. Unless you are doing something non traditional, you really don't need a sign.

    You don't "need" any signs.

Though they are a cute decor touch if you have room in your budget for extra stuff.

I agree with those who say the signs are not necessary. People can figure things out. The only things I bothered to get were the "Mr & Mrs" wooden letters for our sweetheart table, just because I thought it was cute.

I think we're going to make one for our signature drink, and I'm also ordering yard signs to direct people where to park at our ceremony. Most people will be OOT and the chapel is a little off the road.

You don't need one for cakes or gifts, those are pretty obvious, don't you think? We had one that was a welcome sign out in the parking lot (multi purpose facility), one at the entrance, one that said what time our sparkler exit was, a bar menu. I had purchased a guestbook one, but forgot to bring it and guess what? People still signed our guestbook. Originally we didn't plan on having all these signs, but we had budgeted X amount of flowers and when we got in our RSVPS we could've either gotten X amount back or added the signage for bar menu, sparkler exit and welcome sign.

I'm spraying a couple of old windows with looking glass spray today and writing on them with liquid chalk. gives it a mirror effect and if you spray vinegar on it beforehand, you get a lovely mercury glass type finish. we found them on the side of the road..lol. we also bought some chalkboard signs from the dollar store and i have a roll of chalkboard adhesive paper that sticks to anything. it was around 10$ CAD for a large roll on amazon.

We had hashtag signs around the venue, a "Welcome to to our Wedding" sign, choose a seat not a side, turn down your cell phone signs for ceremony, In Memory of sign and some funny ones at the bar like "No good story ever started with a salad" and the one below about Shenanigans.

I love signs as decoration haha. I found a bunch of cute ones at Hobby Lobby. I am making the Mr. and Mrs. sign, and painting the letters white. Then DeWeese is our last name over an arrow in our colors. Then I like the idea of a welcome sign, and pick a seat not a side etc,

Then these ones are from Hobby Lobby! I just like to use signs as decoration. Mr. and Mrs., Celebrate love, Just Married, cute little love quotes displayed on chalk boards, rustic signs, etc. Then we are using our mailbox on our first house we bought together as a card holder. I wanted a new mailbox anyways so this one goes with the rustic theme (literally haha), and it has meaning because it is from our first house together!
