What type of underwear to wear under hip-hugging wedding dress?

Seamless, or thong

I'm thinking about wearing something like this (from aerie) because the lace will prevent lines from showing through the dress, and they seem like they'd cover my whole butt and be anti-wedgie. I'm terrified of getting a wedgie that day because I know I'd HAVE to pick it...I keep imagining looking through the photographer's pictures and finding one of us on the altar with me picking a wedgie.....classy....

I would recommend commando or a thong. Target has some UBER soft stretchy thongs that you don't even know you're wearing one! I love them.

Lol, Rosie, I have to agree with you. A wedgie on my wedding day would drive me absolutely bonkers not trying to get caught unwedging it. The material is relatively think (more so because of the ruching around the hips). I'll look into both seamless thongs in the right size (so they don't pinch in the fat around my hips) the other brides mentioned and the Aerie panties as well. Very pretty! Thanks everyone.

I'm either wearing something like what Rosie is wearing or a seamless thong. I'm leaning more towards full coverage. At my first wedding my aunt helped me get dressed and all I could think of was I was standing in front of her in a thong! So uncomfortable. She didn't say anything but I'll never forget it. lol

@ROsie...Other than gas, having a wedgie is my second biggest fear on my wedding day. You know you have to pick it.

Fear of wedgie is why I am going with Spanx. Not only will I not have to pick a wedgie, but it will leave me panty line free and slim looking. I just need to worry about greasing myself down to get into the damn things

If you hate Spanx, go seamless thong from Victoria Secret. While my butt is too big for things, and I tend to get serious wedgies from them as well, it sure won't leave a panty line.
