We are naming each table after places and things we are going to on our honeymoon in London and Paris! Like the London Eye, the Louvre, The Thames etc...

Well, since we are getting married at a winery/vineyard I was thinking about using the names of wines such as Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Reisling etc.

Muneca you mean the football team, right?

If so you can name them after players on the team or the quaterbacks.

Muneca, we are using baseball players names for our table numbers. I am going to make 5 by 7 that look like baseball cards and include the name of the player. Most are well known hall of fame players but some people might not know who they are.

    Devine2Be,

You ask for suggestions for unique ways to number your tables. The main suggestion is to try and come up with categories that are meaningful and unique to YOU!

For example, if you're both from the same town or city, you could name each table after streets in your town. If you and your families have lived a lot of different places, you could name each table after one of those locations.

Do you have favorite movies or TV shows or books? You could name each table after a movie or TV show or characters in those movies or TV shows or books.

Let's say both of you are dog lovers or cat lovers. Perhaps you could name each table after a breed of dog or cat.

If you're both deeply religious, perhaps name each table after a favorite Biblical passage.

Where are you going on your honeymoon? Could you perhaps think of 10 or 12 or 15 fun things associated with your honeymoon and name the tables accordingly?

    These are just some examples.

We are having a Christmas themed wedding and there will only be 12 tables so we are doing the 12 days of Christmas.

We are going to be boring and just do table numbers because it's easier for people to find their tales since there is some logical order. I love the fun themes - maybe putting the tables in alpabetical order might help so guests don't wonder around lost looking for their table.

Pennilane, you could always use a posterboard to make a mockup of wear the tables are. That's what I'm doing, regardless of what we number/name the tables. It'll just be a black posterboard with white circles with numbers/names showing wear each table is. Easy, cheap, and helpful no matter how you choose to number/name things.

My daughter was married this past August and we labeled her tables according to phases of her and the groom's life (infancy, toddler, elementary school, high school, college, adult, etc). Then we placed two or three small pictures of each of them in that particular age group on the guest tables.

Our Ceremony and reception is at the Iowa Speedway so our tables will have handmade streetsigns with track names on them. IE: Bristol, Daytona, etc.

Pennilane- I agree with u, if u are having 20 tables, but we are only having 9. People walking around aimlessly for hours will not be an issue for us.

We have traveled a lot during the time we've been together so we're naming the tables after places we've been and putting pictures of us along with a quick story as to why that place is important. example one of our tables is named Kentucky Speedway because that's where our first date was!
