What was the best Wedding you’ve been to?

What was the best wedding you have been to and what about it made it amazing?

I have only been to less than a handful of weddings so I would love to hear from everyone with an amazing experience you had as a wedding guest.

Best wedding I've been to was a friend from college. They had a short ceremony in a beautiful location, a cocktail hour with live music and food. Reception was so fun and what made it the best honestly. They didn't have a DJ, just a playlist they had made together and that the best man and groom managed. Guests old and young got out there and danced, part of why it was so fun! Us younger adults were teaching the older guests the newer dance moves and had a blast doing so. They had a cute photo booth and a nice buffet. For alcohol they had wine, beer, and two signature drinks. I think it was just the crowd and how everyone there wanted to have fun and dance is what set it apart. It was small enough where the couple could walk around and actually talk to everyone.

My cousin's wedding in Mexico! We stayed at this gorgeous villa in a small little surfing town. RD was on the beach. Wedding food was delicious and drinks were flowing. We had a private pool in the villa. This was before I met my FH, so my mom and I flew out their together and bonded. Man, writing this just makes me want to go back ASAP.

Ahah can I say my own? Jk. But aside from mine there was one where it was an American venue with a cocktail hour open bar and the food was Asian banquet style. There was also a magician to perform!! That wedding cost a ton though according to my parents so if I had all the money in the world then I would have modeled mine similar to hers.

My best friends wedding this June! Our hotel was within walking distance of the venue and RD which was super convenient. The RD space was this restaurant and bar that overlooked the water and had outdoor seating. The bride did an awesome job organizing everything and it ran so smoothly. The food was awesome. They had a great variety of appetizers and dinner was a plated dinner every dish was great. They had 2 types of beer, 2 types of wine and a signature drink. They had a jazz band, which isnt my thing but very my friend and the groom! It just suited them. We had such a great time!

    Hmmm...
Great time at 2 weddings. They were all pretty typical I guess but relaxed and the company at our tables (both known and unknown) were great. Not assigned seats either. We got a lot of one on one time with the couples at them. Both had open bars. Great food. The ceremonies were beautiful and the dances were sweet. Also hilarious groomsmen dance contest. Sidenote I know for a fact both weddings were less than 8k for about 100 people.

I think the best wedding I've been to was also the most expensive. The ceremony was at a Greek Orthodox church but wasn't too long, and the reception was at a nearby yacht club. They just absolutely knocked it out of the park on the reception. The food was pretty good but service was amazing - the whole catering team was in vests and ties and would bring you anything you wanted (including drinks from the open bar). They had servers circling constantly with wine, multiple bars, cookies at every seat as a favor plus cake and cupcakes for dessert. They also had a really killer live band that played two long sets of popular covers, and there were a ton of really enthusiastic guests. The bride came from a HUGE family, and there were dozens of her cousins in their 20s and 30s who were constantly mingling, dancing, and making sure everyone had a great time. And there were at least 3 coordinators running around in the background making sure everything went smoothly.

Best wedding was my FH uncle's wedding. It was well organized, food was great and the bartenders were heavy on the hands with the liquor! Everyone was dancing until it was over and even went out after the reception ended. Great time

My favorite wedding was one of my best friend's. She and her husband had been together since high school, 11 years by the time they got married.

It was a beautiful summer evening at a gorgeous venue. And because everyone had been so involved in their relationship throughout the years, there was not a dry eye in the house during the ceremony. The reception was incredible: lots of dancing and good food/drinks. I'm a firm believer that the couple sets the tone for the night because of this.

Five years later we still talk about their wedding.
