What was the first time you called your spouse your husband/wife/spouse to somebody other than friends and family?

I'm not sure if this is a random question, but the first time I called my husband my husband to somebody who didn't know us, I got filled with such a rush of joy and giddiness! Smiley heart

We were on our honeymoon at Aulani, and I was checking in to get my pool wrist band, and the gentleman asked if I wanted towels. I said, "No, my husband got us some!" and walked away with the BIGGEST smile on my face! It gave me a feeling of, "WOW, this is real! We are MARRIED!"

    So a little different because it was the first time I said my fiance. (Not married yet)It was to a McDonald's employee and it was "my fiance forgot to get sauce, can I get some sweet and sour" lol.

    Maybe I just didn't notice that I had said it, but we were at our local bar and he said "Tito's club soda & lime for my wife" and I got all mushy. I love being his wife!

    The first time I heard him say wife got me more than me saying husband, he asked the hotel clerk after our wedding if they had something for his wife, I melted. I still say boyfriend some times and everyone corrects me!

    Just last week when my car failed inspection over tires that had 18,000 miles on them I said... "That's impossible, I'll have my husband call." Best part of being married is the good cop/bad cop routine! 😀

    Omg! I have been married for three months and was engaged for six, and I just accidentally called him my boyfriend to someone too! Lol, so I totally feel you on that. Wishing you years of happiness! Smiley heart

    I've referred to him as my husband before we were married, lol. One time we were driving to a friends house who lived in a gated community, FH and I drove separately after work. When I pulled up to the gate the woman asked who I was there to see, told her my friends name, and she said "Oh was that your husband who just came through?" I just smiled and said "Yes, it was."

    A few other strangers have referred to us as husband and wife and I never correct them.

    We are getting married next Saturday, but my fiance has been calling me his wife for a while now. He says he likes calling me that, and he already feels committed to me from the moment he proposed so he likes calling me his wife more than using the word "fiance". Smiley laugh I love it!!!
