What was the first wedding pin you saved on Pinterest?

It was a color scheme! We knew we wanted blue of some sort and the steel blue really drew my attention as a very wintery color. We actually stuck with that color and now my girls are wearing steel blue dresses in 5 short months!

I had to scroll for awhile to get to this...!

The first thing I pinned was a garter with a little pocket sewn into it. It was a spot for a little shot bottle of vodka! It was from way before I was ever engaged, but I thought it was funny. Most of the brides I've been with have needed some kind of shot to calm their nerves.

Color schemes and then dresses!

We initially wanted blush and tan as our wedding colors, so I have lots of pins for that. We ultimately went with blush and gray.

Emerald bridesmaid dresses

The first wedding images I pinned were mother of the bride dresses for my mother and future mother. I have never had difficulty finding flattering apparel, so I was not concerned about finding an attractive wedding gown. I believe that the parents often do not get enough attention, and I want my mother to feel the full weight of happiness and joy of the day. It was our parents who made us who we are, and helped to mold us into the individuals that would compliment each other as partners. It is more their day than his or mine. Our parents deserve to shine!

A cheat sheet wedding photo shot list...several years ago...in all fairness I am a corporate event planner for my job but this was the first specific wedding one.

I don't actually use pinterest, but I'm sure some of the images I have are on there as well.

I actually got married before Pinterest! I do have a wedding Pinterest board, though. My first few pins seem to be some DIY projects. And this beautiful photo from a sweet friend's wedding was one of my firsts, too!
