What was the most stressful part of planning?

So far the only thing is people assuming they can bring babies along to an adult evening wedding!!!!! Ugh trying to make everyone happy is impossible - I have to accept that before I go crazy'

Literally the last two days. The priest we were using never submitted our paperwork to the diocese and can't do the ceremony. I have no idea what we're going to do.

Luckily I have an amazing FH and I'm at the hair salon drinking wine and getting my color updated while he deals with it.

People dropping out at the last minute and basically the $$$$$$$$

They are around 1 yr old no longer breastfeeding to my knowledge. Still, that was the only bump so far! Guest list was incredibly easy! Not sure how we got lucky there

Guestlist and RSVP

I haven't done a lot of planning just yet, but my guest list is on hold because i'm stressing about who to cut.

Definitely deciding on my dress (I changed my dress order 3 times, but finally have it settled), and the overall cost of the wedding. There's so many other things we could spend the money on (i.e. European vacation lol). This is our only wedding though so I keep reminding myself it is worth it. This will be one of the only times both mine and my FH's friends and family will all be together in the same city. I'm looking forward to it!

I blew a gasket Monday when I was told I needed a $7,000 tent since I added 8 people. I called my FH and told him scrap it all time for the courthouse and split a cupcake. I got through it. Take a break from planning for a days. It will help. And it WILL come together. and that's why WW is here.... we got you.

I literally have not been stressed at all until now. But the last minute shit is wearing on me. I just sent this exact text to FH:

"I'm forgetting things because I'm too busy trying to remember what I forgot!"

Seating arrangement, tallying up guests that back out, setting up a timeline the day of.

In the beginning it was mostly the money part and getting over sticker shock to finally find a venue. That was last summer's battle. Now I'm 99 days out and still trying to get the bridesmaids to order their dresses, figure out gifts for everyone, finalize & buy decor, trying to get FH to help with stuff, needing to get suits for FH and groomsmen...

My first go-round it was the seating chart. My dad had 12 friends coming. The tables sat 8. I did the seating chart and he was FURIOUS that all of his friends weren't sitting together.

Finally he realized what my mom and I were telling him about the table size, but it was the first and only time during that planning I had hysterics.

(Which undoubtedly is why this go round there are no seating charts at all. The venue was built for mingling, with all tables 2 and 4 tops.)

So far, its been fun. I'm a year out but, the only thing on my to do list is Wedding Flowers and an officiant. I've gone as far as booking my Bachlorette party and ordering fun stuff for it. I want to try to plan my bridal shower but, my MOH wont let me near it. lol

I hate posting and ghosting! I was fuming at my desk when I started this thread then things got busy at work, thank goodness. I'm still running a few errands before I make it home. I've been reading your comments while I wait for something and it has been comforting. Thanks everyone! I've had a couple of promising emails and texts between my mom, FH, and our wedding planner that have made me feel cautiously optimistic. I won't know the full details until tonight when we all reconvene haha. It's one of those issues where we've had to read contracts carefully so it's best that I don't spill the beans until it's in the past since my profile isn't anonymous.

Mine is the guest list and getting the RSVPs in to give number to the venue.

The past month has been a complete nightmare for me. From the fact that my custom dress is hideous that I had to buy a basic back up to wear, my brother's cancer is possibly coming back, my mom and MOH are sick and have been for the past week and having a groomsman do EVERYTHING in his power to upset me cause I asked him to be at the hotel at 8:30 to start pictures. Apparently asking him to do this after he works a 40 hour work week is the rudest and most inconsiderate thing I could do in his eyes and so he's made it is his mission to verbally attack me. Not to mention him saying how grump and unhappy he'll be the day of and he'll make sure we all know it. Tomorrow is the wedding and his brother paid his tux for him so I can't kick him out but I'm still furious on top of worried for my brother, upset on my dress and genuinely just completely fricken done with this whole thing. I should've held my ground when I said we elope or don't get married.

Believe it or not, mine is food! Lol I cannot decide! I cant seem to find something that everyone will like!!

Money. We planned the wedding with a very doable budget. Then FH was unexpectedly laid off and so wedding savings were not accumulating at rate expected. Fortunately FH found a new better paying job and it worked out okay. But we did decide to postpone the big honeymoon we were originally planning until next year.

Picking vendors has been the most stressful for me. I'm trying to stay within budget but still get good people, and the fact that my dad told me he would pay for the other half of my dress and hasn't said anything since (needs to be paid by August) so now I'm stressing about fitting that payment in along with our other payments.
