My bridal shower will be planned by my fiances aunts. And possibly a cousin and aunt of mine.

    I request cheesecake and cookies.
I'm told we are playing bingo.
My fiance will be attending as well. I need attention deflection and a male at an all female bridal shower sounds perfect.

My MOH is planning, and it will mostly be the women on my side of the family and friends. FH family lives out of state and can’t make the trip.

I didn’t want a traditional shower, so my MOH is doing a wine party with our wine guy (we buy wine from him, he does in house parties, etc). Everyone brings an unwrapped gift, we do a wine tasting, enjoy fried chicken and just celebrate!

My MOH/cousin is planning my bridal shower. She and my other MOH/cousin are splitting the cost. She has kept me in the loop with all the details since she wants me to like what she's planning. It'll be at Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant from 12-3pm. She's planning on having a dessert table and a backdrop for photos. Not sure if there are any games, but I'll most likely be opening presents the last hour with my FH. There will be less than 30 people there, just close family and friends. The theme will be light pink/garden party, attire is summer/floral dresses. The only thing I'm contributing is a welcome sign.

It was at my in laws house but my bridal party hosted it. It was an afternoon tea theme so it was finger sandwiches and a lot of desserts. They had a few games. There was a photobooth area.

My bridal party planned it, but my mom and MIL helped a bit. It was at a community clubhouse, so my husband and his dad and grandpa were in the other room playing pool and occasionally popped in.

We played the shoe game (so he was there for that), a game of this or that where guests had to put whether we would rather go on a cruise or backpack through Europe, etc. They also had mad-libs and popsicle sticks where people wrote date ideas.
The opening of the gifts was probably the most awkward. Luckily, my husband was there for that part too.
We had sandwiches, fruit, cheese and crackers, and cookies/brownies.

My mother hosted and planned our bridal shower. It was in October so the theme was “fall in love” and she served brunch, pastries, and cake. We played two “formal” games; a wedding word scramble and who knows the couple best, and two other less formal games; guess how many kisses in the vase and one where fake rings were hidden all over the room and whoever found the most throughout the shower won. My favorite part was all of our friends and family finally meeting and my least favorite part was opening gifts in front of everyone.

Who planned it: mostly my mom, but with the help of MOH and bridesmaids
Food: sandwiches, a fruit platter, and a vegetable platter. Plus some chocolates, and cakeGames/activities: opening gifts (obviously), “this or that” (how well do you know the bride), wedding Madlibs, an advice jar (everyone put in a card with advice and I had to guess who wrote each one), and then designing a wedding dress with toilet paper lol
Favorite part: honestly it was the first time I felt super bridal and I really felt like it prepared me to be a good hostess and divide my time well among my guests, and get used to being the center of attention at an event like this (I’m an introvert so that’s a little anxiety-inducing for me lol, but my shower basically felt like “practicing” with a much smaller group of people than the wedding)Least favorite part: nothing preventable of course, but I got my damn period literally in the middle of the shower 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Obviously super awful timing lol but I managed to enjoy myself anyway

    1. My mother's home

    2. My mother

    3. It was Italian themed, so she had three kinds of pasta dishes, two very large charcuterie boards, caprese appetizers & meatballs.

    4. There were two games, both were basically "guess this about the bride" and "guess what the groom said about the bride". My mom also had advice cards out for people to fill out.

    5. I didn't have a least favorite part, my mom did an amazing job. She did a DIY olive oil bar as favors, so that was fun. She had a mimosa bar & wine available. She sent out recipe cards with the invites, then gifted them all to me in a cute recipe box.

My 2 MOH's are planning mine. All I will get to know is the date and time and where I'm supposed to be. The rest is going to be a surprise. All I had to do was to give them a copy of the guest list and note if I wanted anyone specific to be invited. Should be interesting. I'm very much so not a fan of being in the spotlight so it is a little anxiety inducing.

My shower was planned by my mom and aunt! Luckily, my mom lives in a neighborhood that has a pool and adjacent neighborhood gazebo/event space/etc. which was perfect (my mom's house would have been the backup plan).

My aunt and her two daughters put together lots of wonderful snacks: meatballs, finger sandwiches, chips and dips, veggies, etc. and my MIL picked up a beautiful cake!

We hung out and played a few games like guessing love song names/artists, date night advice cards, etc. and also opened presents.

The only thing I was worried about beforehand was people being able to come/looking like a loser if not many could come - all bridesmaids (and myself lol) were out of state of the shower/wedding so I definitely understand that multiple plane tickets aren't in the budget for everyone and for my girlfriends I wanted to prioritize the bachelorette over the shower. My mom's family also has a bit of drama going on so I was a bit hurt when some local aunts didn't attend but of course that's out of my hands. Another common worry I had during the shower was just making sure everyone was having a good time Smiley smile

I know it's not common for the bride to plan it but I'm helping my mom (I love planning parties). We are having it at a community center type room, with about 30 people invited. It will be a Sunday morning with brunch being served. We plan to do a waffle bar with the fixings and some sort of meat.

Although we don't have a set idea about games some we planned are "how well do you know the bride", "whats in your purse" etc.
One I haven't heard about before but thought it would be cool is a gift bingo. Each person will get a blank bingo card and they fill in presents they think you will get, they will mark off each correct answer while you open the gifts. The first with a bingo, wins!

Another fun game is TP wedding dress. Divide the group into teams of about 3-5 and provide them with a handful of rolls of TP to construct a wedding dress. The best group wins a gift.
