What was your favorite gift as a bridesmaid?

Was in FH sisters wedding a couple years ago. She got us some simple clutch purses to go with our dresses to hang on to our phones and whatever during reception. It was nice to have, and have used it since.

I've been having the same problem! I just have one bridesmaid/ maid of honor. So far I got her a custom bandana (since the wedding is in Zion national park), and a hanger with her name on it. I am also going to get her a really nice necklace. She basically put together my engagement party and bachelorette party, so I don't mind spending the extra money on nice jewelry!

Oh and I got her a clutch as well to go with her dress.

A plain white mug with some fancy cocoa mix and a mini-bottle of Bailey's was my favorite.

I got a really cute floral robe that the bride ordered from Etsy.

I bought my wonderful ladies, Guess clutches, replica crystal drop earrings from Paris, Bath and Body was and shower puff, lunch and I am paying for their shoes,hair, makeup and treating them to many a lunch before October. I have known my Maid of Honor since she was conceived(my girl), and two other ladies for 20 years, and my cousin .

Oh! And I bought the tartan wraps from Scotland!!

Getting ready outfits, hangers, or anything that is being used for your wedding shouldn't be bridesmaids gifts.

I've gotten jewelry which is always nice.. I was going to get my girls earrings BUT remembered that one BM doesn't have her ears pierced. So make sure you know your audience!

The tote bags and sweatshirts are okay, but if they say bridesmaid or anything related to your wedding, I probably wouldn't use it again. Also, monograms may not be a great idea - they might get married or divorced and change their names.

I'm thinking of getting my girls a nice piece of jewelry. I will probably also get them a flannel shirt (not part of "gift") ( no monograms or bridesmaid/wedding embroidery).

As a BM, I've always been required to have my H&MU done, and also had to pay for it. (I know this is poor etiquette, I am offering an onsite H&MU artist if the girls would like to partake, they can and they would pay). However, as a BM... I'd probably love the idea of the bride paying for my H&MU (if it were optional!) as a gift. It saves me cash, and who doesn't like to be pampered for free and look extra pretty!

I'm paying for hair and makeup (although they can do whatever they wish in terms of style -- I just wanted to spoil them a bit). I'm also following the advice of shopping for them like it's for a birthday. For instance, I just visited one of my bridesmaids. She took me to her favorite boutique to hang out. While there I sneakily pulled the manager aside and asked if I could message her on Facebook to help arrange a gift. My sister is a busy mom -- sometimes all she wants is a massage and an afternoon away from her littles. I'm hoping going the individualized route will adequately show my appreciation for them.

I got a cute flat iron as a gift 4 yrs ago. I use it a lot so it was a great gift. I think it's important to get your girls something they will use often. Still deciding in mine

I had a bride buy us the make-up that the MUA used afterwards. LOVED having free make-up!

Both of my sisters bought monogrammed overnight bags. I still use one of them 11 years later.

For my best friends wedding, as her gift to us all she had her photographer take a picture of each of us with our respective S/O and then had them printed up and framed. It worked because her other two bridesmaids were married and I'm engaged. I thought it was a super sweet and personal gesture. She also gave us each a bracelet day of so we would have something that day too.

Two faves: a wine glass with an inside joke engraved on it and the bridesmaids dress. Both were very meaningful.

A cute monogrammed makeup bag filled with little things we may need for "touch ups" the day of the wedding-chapstick, lipgloss, hand lotion, mascara, makeup remover. I love that makeup bag!

My favorite bottle of wine and a gift card to my favorite restaurant!

I am so over thinking this myself. I have 5 girls. So far I have: cute pearl like earrings in a nice box, mugs with their first initial from pier one, and the robes (not monogrammed so they can def use again but still not counting toward their gift). I am thinking massages for all of them....
