For me it was hate lol. My friend had been trying to set us up for a year and I finally agreed to hangout with him. We went to his house where he was having a party . I really didn't care for him, I thought he was so obnoxious and rude! Later that summer we drunkenly made out at a party and now we are six months from our wedding haha!

Anyways... Tell me what your first impression of your future spouse was!

We were in college for three years together before we actually met. I can remember seeing him around. The clearest memory is from outside a co-ed frat that we both hung around. He definitely attracted my attention, I thought he was older, and preppy. I figured he was in the frat, but he wasn't, just hanging out with friends as I was. Turns out he has always dressed very preppy because those are the clothes he had from going to a private high school, and he is five months younger than me and in the same class!

I met him at a concert and thought he was cute. Didn't really have the opportunity to talk to him because of how loud it was. During our first date, I thought he was an ass. He made fun of where I was in life! Uh, excuse you, I just graduated college and I'm two years younger than you. Yeah, I don't have life figured out. Lol and then he would always make fun of the fact that I went to UF, which pissed me off. We didn't start dating until two months later... After a trip to Savannah for St. Patty's Day. He's less of an ass now. Smiley winking

We meet at Bike Week and I thought he was a little rough around the edges. He wore he Biker Club vest with the name " Gudda" on the back. But I was instantly attracted to him since he looked like my crush Treach from Naughty by Nature . Which made him look like a low budget rapper thug . LOL Boy was I wrong completely opposite of a thug.

Herm- well we met on line through our sport bike forum- where we were/are both active members. I took my best friend to meet him half way between our houses so I could see if his leather gear that he was selling fit. I need a leather track suit- and he was selling one.

Turns out- he's a liar- the pants fit but the jacket was like giantly over sized. So I didn't wind up buying the stuff- but we were talking about riding and my track day and he had taken and advanced riding course and he offered to come down and give me some lessons from what he learned. And we sort of never stopped talking. We actually officially started dating 3 months later when he bought my new motorcycle for me. (I was paying him back but he had the funds to buy it right away and I had to sell my other bike first to have the cash).

We were not interested at all in each other. we sort of fell into it- so no one had any sort of impressions from that first meeting. LOL We joke to this day we met because I was trying to buy his pants.

Lol we meet when I was 13 and he was 15 at his sisters birthday pool party where he proceeded to flirt/beat me with a pool noodle because that's what you do at that age lol. We didn't actually start dating (because of many many reasons) until I was 19 and we have been together for 8 years next month Smiley smile

My first reaction "Oh wow, he has beautiful eyes and why doesn't he approach me" I guess i was feeling super conceited and upset cause he wouldn't flirt with me and God Forbid I made the first move, not gonna happen! A friend of mine later gave him my number and it went on from there.

I thought he was attractive, but intimidating. He has a very intimidating look to him, but is amazingly sweet and kindhearted.

I met him as an adult at a mutual friend's college graduation party and I thought he was attractive. When I said hello, because I'd heard a lot about him from our mutual friend, I really, really, loved the way he talked about things.

He says he couldn't stop staring at my boobs in the sundress I was wearing. Now we own a house together and we're getting married.

I didn't have an impression at all when we met initially. I worked in HR for the company we worked at together. He was 16 and I was 20 at the time. Hence, no impression at all. He did ask me out when he turned 18, before he went off to college and I was like, "No, thanks!" lol

I thought he needed a shave lol. But besides that I thought he was the most adorable cutie I'd ever seen. I thought he had a gf, but lucky me he was single. Smiley laugh

I actually don't remember the first time I met DH (it was in high school, either through theater or book club). Clearly he didn't make much of an impression though, because he ended up missing book club one day and ran into me later and I mentioned something he had said in our online discussion of the book because I didn't know his name and didn't realize he was the same person. Oops. I was also dating someone at the time and that relationship was sort of winding down. DH asked me out a couple months later. (And he says he first noticed me because I was glowing... clearly he has a much more romantic version, lol.)

He was a friend of the guy my sister was dating at the time. I was at my mother's and my sister stopped by with her then BF and David to look at her car. By the time he left I knew he was the one. I told my sister she needed to figure out a way to get us together again. I knew that if we saw each other again that would be it....him and me..and it was. Whats funny-odd is that my very first boyfriend in the fourth grade was named David and throughout the years it seemed that movie or music stars I had a crush on were all named David and I use to joke that I would probably marry a David, which I did.

Hate! We worked in the same building, both running organizations that needed to coordinate well. I asked him to coffee to get to know him and hear more about his plans. He drank free water out of a Dixie cup the whole time!! I was like -- "WHO is this MF-er who thinks his time is so damn valuable he's too busy to drink a cup of coffee with me!!!" Hahaha

I had a crush on his roommate that I had met at a welcome week bbq who at the time thought we were merely friends and I invited the roommate to a soccer game to watch but he brought FH with him and introduced us. FH wasn't my type, or so I thought, lanky and nerdy instead of bulky jocks. After the roommate told him to tell me he didn't like me, FH told me it was love at first sight for him. Always makes me feel horrible. But after 6 months of begging and being friends we went on a date and I did a complete 180 and knew he was the one.

    We had met online.

When I met him in person I noticed: he was skinner then I normally date (I normally like husky guys), he had hazel eyes (which is my weak point) and he has that chicago accent. Our first date was sweet, just dinner and coffee.

"He's kind of cute, but man, are his eyes deep set."

When I met FH, he was 5'11 and weighed 125. Today, after four years of feeding him (and making him quit smoking), he's up to a happy, healthy 170.
