For me it was hate lol. My friend had been trying to set us up for a year and I finally agreed to hangout with him. We went to his house where he was having a party . I really didn't care for him, I thought he was so obnoxious and rude! Later that summer we drunkenly made out at a party and now we are six months from our wedding haha!

Anyways... Tell me what your first impression of your future spouse was!

It wasn't hate, but it also wasn't love. He rambled like crazy during our first date, which was a very casual meetup for coffee set up by my best friend. And when I got home and my best friend asked what I thought about him, really all I had to say was "He's cute. And TALL." LOL. I liked him, but it was very superficial at first. It grew to love with time :-)

I didn't like him at all! We met on the competitive scene in online gaming so we were always trying to out do each other.

We went to high school together but we never officially met until we both graduated. (He was a senior when I was a freshman) when I first met him I thought he was such a funny guy, but defiantly more of a best friend type, which he was for 2 years, my best friend. 7 years later we are about to get married. I guess it's true what they say, the best kind of relationship starts out with a friendship.

I remember the first time I saw him, I immediately thought he was so handsome. But he was also serious, to the point where it seemed to me like he didn't like people at all, so I almost wasn't going to talk him at all because he was intimidating. I'm glad I did!

I hated him. We were cast as opposites in a theatre production and our characters were married on stage. I took theatre very seriously, he saw it as fun, and he frustrated me to no end with how little commitment he paid it (which, in hindsight, he gave a perfectly fine amount of commitment, I was just crazy). He also had a girlfriend at the time and they were super clingy and all over each other, and I was never a big fan of constant PDA. After the show we parted ways, though we stayed friends on Facebook. A few years later we met up again at a mutual friend's senior voice recital. He was looking for a job and the restaurant I worked at was hiring, so I got him a job. Three weeks later we were dating. If you had told years-ago me this is how we would end up, I would have grimaced and wouldn't have believed it in the slightest.

Didn't speak to each other for more than 5 minutes the first time we met. Said to a friend he's going to be my husband. She said you didn't even exchange numbers or anything, I said I don't know what it is but he's going to be my husband. After dating other people, 15 years later we are engaged to be married.

Love at first site! We met five years ago and mistaked me for another person, but for some odd reason at that exact moment I was so attracted to him and I knew I would marry him. We were just friends because we had the same group of friends, but we never spoke much to each other. It wasn't until we had a glass of wine with a group of our friends and we were really goofy with each other. He finally asked me out about month afterwards and I'm so happy he found me on facebook! Not to brag but people always tell us how good we look together, even random strangers lol!

It was definitely "like" at first sight. My FH got switched to my algebra class in 9th grade last minute and chose to sit by me and we immediately clicked and couldn't stop talking. He was more of a friend but he later told me he always wanted more. Fast forward a year or so and i gave up on jerks and realized how awesome he really was and we gave it a chance. Almost 5 years later and Here we are(: Best choice I ever made. I love having my bestfriend as my fiancè! Cant wait for November!

From my perspective he was a loser! We were 12 years old and I thought he was a major geek. First words I said to him were "You're name is stupid" (his name is Mavrick - no e I dont know why) and he fell for me right then and there lol. Shortly after I loved him as my best friend and it grew into what we have now.

I met DH freshman move in day. I was going to meet a friend and he text me his room number. As a joke I decided to lay down on his bed and make myself at home... Well, he text me the WRONG room number! DH & his roommate walked in and DH asked who I was and why I was laying on his bed!! I was super embarrassed. He actually knew the friend I was going to meet and brought me to the right room. After we started texting though and a couple months later dating :-)

He lied about his height but laughed at all my jokes!

We met online and I was surprised that he was a little shorter than me (though according to FH we are the same height...), given what his profile said, but we had great conversation so I agreed to a second date. I got over the white lie pretty quickly.

We met online. When I saw him the first time my initial reaction was "Wow he is a horrendous dresser." It was July and he was in head to toe black- including this odd leather coat. My second impression- "Wow he's a huge nerd." He's different than any guy I dated before, but after that first date I knew something was different about him Smiley smile

It sounds weird, but I'm marrying my closest friend uncle....let me explain....my girlfriend & I have been friends some years. So when I met her uncle, I was 33 yrs old, my girlfriend was 36 & her uncle was 40. Now, occasionally back then we enjoyed a lot of "herbal essence". So this one particular night, I had the munchies really bad & Mom was having a cookout. Her uncle made the best turkey burger a fat girl could ever ask for. I had instant crush on him but never said anything. Years later, my girlfriend recommended us hooking up & I did out of curosity. That curiosity turned into a relationship, that relationship turned into love & that love turned into a proposal.

We met at work. I'm super shy so when I started the job I didn't have much to say to anyone - he annoyed the crap out of me because he wouldn't leave me alone until I'd answer his questions lol. I found him funny but annoying too. I later found out he thought I was stuck up because I wasn't a talker, but it was just my introvertedness. Lol

It was neutrality at first sight. We met while working together at the McDonalds his parents got together at. I dated someone else for about 9 months (it didn't work out) then he yelled across the front counter and asked if I would go out with him on New Years Eve. I started crying because I knew he was a sweetheart and had to turn him down because I wasn't over my ex. We began texting and 19 days later, we began dating because I became impatient and flipped out on him for not asking me out/taking a hint. We'll be together for 4.5 years when we get married.

Barely noticed him-- his best friend was making googly eyes at MY best friend, and his BF is taller and blond, so I noticed him right away. Then, having said maybe 5 words to DH, he signed my yearbook, "I love your body. P.S. just kidding to the parents". TOTALLY out of character for DH-- I have no idea what possessed him! After he signed that, I thought he was MUCH cuter than his friend (I was only 16....).

We had met on match.com and at the time I wasn't looking for anything serious. I thought he would be good to hang out with, it def was not love but not hate either. He just seemed like a good person to hang out with.

I don't believe in love at first sight but... it was love Smiley smile I definitely noticed his looks (he's cute!), especially his smile. We met at work- I had noticed him briefly before, but this was the first time we were in proximity and actually got introduced. We struck up a conversation, and ended up talking for an hour! We hit if off immediately and both left thinking that this had the potential to be something special.
