What was your Flower Budget?

Stephanie, on November 7, 2017 at 1:26 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 47

So I just got a quote from my florist, and I didn't think the price was that bad. It was for 5 bridesmaid bouquets, bridal bouquet, guys pin ons, and 16-18 centerpieces (they were in a package but I upgraded a little bit) My mom however thought it was expensive. Feel free to share your pictures (I love flowers) What do you guys think? Is anyone comfortable sharing how much they've spent for flowers?

Ooooh pretty! Price was quoted was 863$. I didn’t think that was outrageous, the bridesmaids were 45 each. And the bridal was 100$. This also included a predecorated arch which was 100 too.

We spent around $3500 on my bouquet, 4 BM, mini flower girl bouquet, 6 bouts, 10 tall centerpieces, 10 short centerpieces, head table garland and candles.

Op I think that quote is a steal.

I'm doing a bridal bouquet, 2 BM bouquets, 5 boutineres, 2 corsages, a flower girl ball, and 10 centerpieces for $780. And my price is a STEAL compared to all other quotes I received.

@033118 where did you get your flowers? Was it a local vendor?

Paid just under $1200 for silk flowers - bridal bouquet, groom bout, 2 bouts for fathers, 2 corsages for mothers, and 13 centerpieces.

We were quoted about $2000 which I thought was a lot considering we were only ordering my bridal bouquet ($250) and 5 bridesmaid bouquets a long with a lot of loose greenery for the centerpieces. I couldn't justify buying 6 bouquets and some leaves for two grand so I'm looking into buying flowers in bulk and arranging my own bouquets.

We budgeted $5000 for flowers and came in at $3800. It might change cause I want a fancier bouquet but we will see. That quote included bride bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets, 4 corsages, 6 bouts, 1 flower girl ball, pew decorations, church vases and arrangements, 30 centerpieces, king and queen chair, upgraded votive and candle package and delivery.

I planned on $2500 but it is closer to $3000:

    -Bridal bouquet

    -3 Bridesmaid bouquets

    -10 bouts

    -5 corsages

    -25 centerpieces

-10 smaller accent arrangements (church, guest book table, etc.)

Bouquets/bouts are garden roses, ranunculus and olive branch. Centerpieces are hydrangeas and a few small green stems (can't think of the names).

All of the centerpieces and arrangements are made up of groups of smaller vases - she is charging me $20 per vase -- guest tables will have 3 each, high-top cocktail tables will have 1 each, etc.

We paid $750 for 2 bridal bouquets (one for bridals and the other for wedding) 6 BM bouquets, 6 GM bouts, 5 bouts for dad/grandpas. and 5 corsages for mom/grandmas. Also flowers cut off from the stem to decorate the cake (semi-naked cake) and petals for the flower girls. I'm using silk greenery for my tables since they're long. Also, all my flowers are coming from a local grocery store.

Pricing can vary by location - in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, I ended up paying a smidgen over a grand for a bridal bouquet, 6 BM bouquets, 3 corsages (moms and flower girl), 1 bout for a bridesman, 1 bout for groom, 6 GM bouts, 2 bouts for dads, 1 bout for ring bearer... so yea, lots of flowers, haha.

ETA: Oh yea, and we had a toss bouquet.

@FB I love your bouquet. I want to have the thistle incorporated into mine as well and you just gave me hope that it can be done tastefully.

We have 10 centerpieces, brides bouqet, moh bouqet, grooms and bm boutennaire included, but when I asked about how much the extra bridesmaids bouqets were she said the cheapest is 40 but could go up to 80 depending on the flowers chosen. We are June though so she said we have tbe greatest choices of in season flowers. I thought that pricing was great for my area at least.

I budgeted 2000 and ours are going to be around $1200, shockingly.

That includes a crescent bridal bouq, 3 BMs, 12 bouts, 3 corsages, eucalyptus pew decorations and 16 tall centerpieces.

Flowers are blush and midnight roses, antique carnations, lilacs and freesia. The centerpieces are stock, in really tall glass vases.

We budgeted $1,000 and ended up paying about $400 including delivery. We only got a bridal bouquet (complete with jewels), 5 bridesmaid bouquets, and just one boutonniere for H (the groomsmen didn't want to wear flowers). Our parents / grandparents also did not want to wear flowers and our centerpieces did not use flowers so that lessened the amount we needed. We did not get extra flowers for decor as our wedding was already in a beautifully decorated garden. We got all real flowers for our arrangements.
