I have seen people get "engagement photos" a few months before their wedding. If you don't plan on having them on your save the dates then I don't think there is a right or wrong time. We put our pictures on our save the date magnets.

Yea, I know but we have our website up and running already so we were hoping to have the photos posted on there before anyone received their save the dates.

Gotcha! Just remember that people will have to go back to the website when they start purchasing items off of your registry! You also could use your "engagement" photos for Holiday cards!

That's true. We don't even have our own place so we're not registered. We were planning on trying to save for the house as well as our wedding but when covid hit, that went out the window and we had already put quite a bit of money toward our wedding that the house was put on hold. Otherwise we definitely would have done the house first lol.

I get it. My fiance and I plan on having the wedding and getting our first house together next year as well. We've lived in an apartment together for over 3 years but we are ready for a house now.

SAME! But now we're not even sure if or when that'll happen because neither of us are working now since covid and we don't get paid enough, on top of our debts (car notes and student loans being the biggest), it sucks. Anyway, have you guys already started looking??

I'm sure the time will come soon! I work for the state and my fiance drives a truck so thankfully we have gotten paid this whole time (even with me being home). We are looking into possibly getting a house built and we started the pre-qualification process about 2 weeks ago.

Not soon enough lol but thanks. And that's definitely a blessing. That's exciting. I'm excited for you guys. We saw a few communities still in construction. We toured a few and found a couple we love but God only knows when we'd actually be able to move. They'll probably be old by the time we're finally ready . We need to hit the lottery or something lol.
