My vote? anything burlap, or rustic or the brooch bouquet.. i just can't get into it and I think they are overdone… but then again trends seem to do that, thats why they are a trend!

I forgot I also really don't like choreographed dances. They just look so forced. Also to me a picture from a photo booth is not a favor. If I took a selfie on my phone would that count as a favor? Not trying to hate, just giving my opinion.

I dislike the trend of judging other weddings! I like most of the trends to be honest, they are trends for a reason Smiley smile

I don't hate any trends at all!

Everyone has their own tastes and styles, but they're not for everyone. I personally wouldn't want a 'rustic' or 'barn' wedding for our day, but I think they are gorgeous! I think the signs (here comes your girl, candy bar signs) are cute and fun! They make for great photos. Photo booths are so in, and add excitement and personality.

The only thing I don't want/care for is the cake smashing... because if I am spending $75.00+ on makeup, John better not smash that cake in my face LOL!

I don't see any bashing going on. People are commenting on what they don't like they aren't saying "Hey Jane, I saw that you are doing purple laced mason jars with a here comes your empress sign and it is really tacky and you should probably just elope." Nope. I'm sure that a good 80% of you would think my wedding is just terrible, but you know what, it isn't about you. There are things on this list that are happening in my wedding but it's not important to me to get everyone's approval.

@Caylin, we are doing a photo booth and skipping favors. I can't think of a favor (aside from something edible) that people would enjoy or like but a photo of themselves at the wedding? That might be fun. We're having a sweet table, cake AND a dessert so....edible favors are likely overkill. Favors, in my opinion, are a total waste of money. We get to keep a copy of all the photos so we hope our guests will go all out with it.

FWIW, we haven't been to any weddings with photo booths so we're psyched. We don't go to many weddings though. Parties with photo booths? Yes. But not weddings. Ditto on mason jars (I personally don't like them though) or most of the other stuff brides have mentioned.

    I don't care for:

Photobooth Props - I love the photobooth idea, but I hate the props like giant glasses and silly hats - I'd like to be able to see my guests, not some random person I can't quite make out who they are b/c their face is obscured by hot pink glasses meant to fit an elephant.

    The mustache trend

    Photos with everyone jumping

    Cowboy boots with wedding attire

'Here comes your bride Uncle Johnny' signs

Ringebearers dressed in a security agent getup

    Money dance

My FH and I are getting married in a national park and are going with all things natural. Wildflowers, wood, with mason jars and burlap to accent it. I like burlap and couldn't give a damn what a few rude brides have to say about it. It's likely I'd see their style and think of it as tacky or overdone myself.

    To each their own.

Still doesn't make it okay to bash on other bride's plans.

Groom's cake. The wedding cake is not just for the bride...

Weddings that basically don't reflect you as a couple and rather has become some coordinated "show".

I'm with MelanieM - trying too hard to be "different." It's a wedding; People go to receptions to eat, drink, talk, and dance. Mayyyybe one or two different things (like a photo booth or some small special thing).

I am a traditionalist. I don't go for the photobooths, extra uplighting, smores bars, candy bars and all the props that some DJ's use for specific songs - YMCA, Mummers Strut (in the Philly area). Gross to be thinking that someone who may have had lice wore that hat before I placed it on my head.....

This. A lady is selling one on a Swap&Shop Facebook page I'm on, and her description says:

    -Wedding Money Tree

    "Money doesn't grow on trees"

But for your wedding it could!!-

I've seen these things a few times now... What happened to a regular gift table? This screams "GIVE ME CASH!" to me...

Ok, I just have to say that I had no idea that anyone used burlap for anything, EVER, until I joined WW. What is burlap, anyway? No judgment--it's really not something I have ever seen.

I would also like to say that this thread has been remarkably tame considering it's 7 pages long and nobody is fighting yet. I knew we could do it! Love you ladies! WW rocks! : )

@LivelyBride - Personally, I'm using it. (burlap) I got an amazing deal on it, (6 1/2 yards x 5 yards for $16) and it fits with my venue (It's at a rustic summer camp on a lake). I will be spraying it with craft glue to prevent fraying. I thought it was cute before anyway, and my theme just sort of took on a life of it's own by finding deals on things and putting them all together. (IE red & white gingham table cloths, recycled glass jars for centerpieces, red & white rag tie ribbon banners (90% off valentine's day decor) and red apples picked by the bridal party at the orchard down the street, etc.) Oh, and we are both big nerds, so we are also incorporating comic book things in some of the decor.

I think my theme is really "how to have a wedding as DIY/free/inexpensive as possible" lol. I'm good with it.

I dislike fake flowers. Specially fake rose pedals used for centerpieces.
