What were your venue "must haves"?

We were married at The 1909 in Topanga, California and although this wasn't our first choice in venues, we ended up falling in love with it and are so glad we held our wedding there!

Our must haves were:

- A venue that was 100% ours for the entire day (we did not want multiple weddings on the same property on the same day)

- A bridal suite to get ready

- Outdoor & Indoor elements

- And lots of plants (succulents included)

Our venue met every single one of our "must haves" as well as having other elements we just simply loved

I need for chairs to be included. I've heard to many horror stories about brides going into debt for things like chairs! I also want them to provide linens. I don't care if they're white or cream. Once I learn what ones are no extra cost i'll go with those and then be able to choose my perfect shade of purple to match better, and also decide if my accent color is silver or gold

The most important thing for us was to be able to bring in outside food.

We absolutely had to have a location that had both indoor and outdoor options, because you never know that the weather will do in the spring here in Wyoming. Another must was a rustic feel. We lucked out and found the perfect location right here in Casper

It had to include chairs and have a modern, semi casual atmosphere.

Venue must have was having a beautiful background for pictures.

It must be under $200. It must be outside.

Blank slate venue with tables/chairs/kitchen included. Able to bring in our own vendors. No curfew or mandated starting time.


A beautiful scenic view is great but we weren't able to find a venue that had that in addition to the flexibility we want.
