I think I threw away all favors I got from weddings I’ve been invited. I got a cute packed slice of cake once and I love that.


When we eloped, I got a second hand short veil, and I completely forgot to close it before the intimate simple ceremony. My hilarious mom said “you weren’t a virgin at your elopement, so it’s good that you forgot” 🤣 I was actually 7 months pregnant.

Don't forget the flowers and any other decor.

DJ, photographer, videographer (if you want one), food and drinks, officiant, gifts for bridal party, flowers, hair and makeup are the main things that jump out at me as not being listed.

I would have enjoyed my engagement more and focused on preparing for marriage rather than putting 100% attention to the wedding.
