Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat - Lucky...this was a song he mentioned to me and I cried hearing the words...we are currently in a long distance relationship because he active duty military and stationed in South Korea right now. The words remind me of our relationship and love for one another so much!

Georgia on My Mind the Michael Buble version. He made a mix cd for me when we first started dating. When I heard the song it gave my chills and I couldn't stop thinking about FH. I know it's cheesy!

"If I Didn't Have You" by Thompson Square - I heard it for the first time a few days after our first date. Later in the relationship we were sitting in his room listening to love songs and I put that on and we danced to it and he shed some tears. We decided at that point that it would be our first dance song. That was long before we were engaged. After we got engaged he heard "Then" by Braid Paisley for the first time. He said he thought it would be perfect for us (because he actually did take me back to where we first met to get engaged) but I told him I wouldn't use it unless my BM was okay with it because she had told me a couple years ago that she wants that to be her first dance song. She's not engaged yet, but I don't want to take that song away from her (especially since I know she'll be getting engaged soon).

We were gonna dance to "I don't dance" because FH played that song and actually slow danced with me at his apartment when we first started dating. I think it's gonna wind up being "from the ground up" though because he keeps bringing it up and puts it on every time we're in the car

@Kristina, ours is Then too!! :-) We just changed it from Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You, which went better with the feel of our wedding. But I wanted to dance to something more romantic and more "us", Then is one of our favorite songs, we always listen to country music, and the words describe how we feel for sure about our relationship.

A cover of I Belong to You by Daniela Andrade. No reason in particular, just felt right when we were looking for a song together.

An slow, acoustic cover of "Shut Up and Dance" because FH can't dance and warned me so on our first date. I responded with something along the lines of "ok whatever, just shut up and dance with me" and pulled to the dance floor. Since the Walk the Moon version is too fast we found a beautiful cover...well, that and FH really can't dance so a fast song was out of the question LOL

We are dancing to "Die a happy man" by Thomas Rhett. FH randomly brought it up one day in the car while it was on and I cried! He hadn't been wild about any other song. I'm just so excited he picked it. Makes it that much more special. *ETA spelling

Ours is Incondicional by Prince Royce. A Spanish song meaning Unconditional. The song talks about going through all kinds of ups and downs and still fighting for the relationship. It has been our song almost from the beginning of our relationship. From the start we've had a lot of trials- mostly from outside sources like bitter exes! But it has always made us grow closer together and stronger as a couple. We also found an English version of the song and we will blend the two so that my family can actually understand the meaning of the song. Most of them do not understand Spanish.

Fred Astaire's Cheek to Cheek. FH has loved this song almost all his life for his first dance song and I fell in love with it the day he played it for me. This was way before we got engaged (or even considered getting married) and we were listening to random songs on my laptop. He said something along the lines of "what do you think about this song" and then picked me up to dance to it.

It is a beautiful song and it made me cry when I first heard it.

All the Way by Frank Sinatra and Celine Dion

When we first started dating, we were talking about songs and what song should be ours. We both said this song pretty much at the same time. The words are so beautiful and it fits us perfectly!

"For once in my life" covered by Dara MaClean

In a thread about song choices m made a comment that fully convinced me to change our original choice of Thinking out loud since it was mega over played. I don't remember exactly what she said, but it resonated with me. So, I made DH watch dozens of youtube videos of people dancing to that song to convince him that it wasn't original. We spent hours listening to various songs before stumbling upon this cover. We both shut up and knew it was the right one when we played it all the way through and didn't say a word, just sat there grinning at each other like fools.

A Thousand Years by Christina Perri because I cried when I heard that song and I could picture us dancing to it. And FH always told me that our love will last a thousand years and we can't imagine our lives without each other

Hard to concentrate by the chili peppers.

We're both big chili peppers fans and I just really have loved the song since I first heard it.
