What will be your first dance as husband and wife? Also why?

My first choice is "With this Ring by Kenny Loggins. KL is one of my favorites, and the song is about promising your commitment to one another. It's kind of an upbeat ballad, which is what I want, not too soft. I'm still trying to think of other options, too.

From the Ground Up by Dan and Shay---we absolutely love the song brings tears to my eyes!! The words to it are amazing. For a surprise FH even bought me a sign to hang in the bedroom.

You had me at hello by A Day to Remember. First concert together and we both thought the song fit us

If I had a million dollars by the Barenaked Ladies. We are off-beat and weird. The song also ages us quite a bit.

Beauty by dru hill. First, because I played 3 options for FH and this is one he liked most. It made the cut bc I love the song, and it reminds me of our love story. We met at school, we were classmates, it took a few months for us to see each other as more than just friends, but once we did and became official we fell in love really fast.

"Solider" by Gavin Degraw (Straight No Chaser a capella cover). FH and I just love Straight No Chaser (and a capella in general, FH was director of his college a capella group). I've seen Straight No Chaser in concert many times, and we just love the lyrics. We decided on it the first time we listened to it after we got engaged.

We're doing a surprise choreographed 1st dance so technically we have 4 "First Dance Songs", each of them is special to us for different reasons...

1: "Fruition" by The Dream - FH LOVES this song, says it reminds him of me & how he felt when we first met that I was (& still am) all of his dreams come true {to fruition}

2: "Vivir lo Nuestro" by Marc Anthony & la India -{Salsa for me & my side} The song is about loving each other so much, not caring about anything or anyone else in the word and making your own universe where you can just be happy in love together.

3: "Her Love" by Flipo - {a little wind & grind for FHs Trini side} Its all about how much he loves her and how her love & having her near changes his world.

4: "You are the Best Thing (that ever happened to me)" by Ray LaMontagne - Our favorite song, I think the title pretty much sums up what its about

We are doing the acoustic version of More of You by Chris Stapleton. FH and I always send music to each other and one night we were cruising YouTube and this played. We both had tears in our eyes and knew it would be perfect.

We are dancing the the acoustic version of "La Da Dee" by Cody Simpson, which if from Cloudy with a chance of meatballs. Haha. My FH said when he first heard it I was all he could think about. He picked it, it's cute, we will dance!
