Bless the broken road.... I am 43 my FH is 52 when we met I was 17 and he was 21. We have been through so much including being married before. We have always been best friends and we finally found love in each other.

FH and I haven't discussed it yet, but I think we will dance to "Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith. FH isn't emotional at all and our entire relationship has been long distance. Once on our way to his house from the grocery store this song came on and he said "This song makes me thing of you. Whenever I feel sad because I miss you, I listen to this song and feel better" AND I JUST MELTED. Like how could I not want that as my song!

"Halo" by The Cure

It's one of our favorite bands and the lyrics are so beautiful.

We danced to some classical piece that I now forget (it's been 18 years-- so shoot me!) cause DH wanted to waltz, but generally only Country Western music does waltz rhythm (at least, that's what our DJ said) and DH doesn't like C/W, so..... classical it was!

Thinking about "XO" by John Mayer, a Beyonce cover. It's a little too fast, though, so I'm still not sure...

'Tenerife Sea' by Ed Sheeran

In heaven by JYJ. We had our first kiss in Korea to that song.

"I Found a Reason" by Velvet Underground. We're both big music fans, lots of concerts and rooms full of albums (literally) but never had "our song". I had a few in mind but then asked FH and he told me he always thought I Found a Reason would be our first dance song. I like it too

We're no where near making a final decision but this is one thing my FH loves talking about! We practice to different songs all the time.

Right now we are thinking "Dead Sea" by The Lumineers. Hopefully it sticks because I love it.

Adeles cover of "Make you feel my love"... FH picked it, it means a lot to him, so I'm not going to deny him that

We did The Luckiest by Ben Folds. We were together 8 years before getting married so "where was I before the day when I first saw your lovely face" said it all for us.

I am totally in love with God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton and Die A Happy Man by Thomas Rhett...but I think we will end up dancing to Crazy Girl by Eli Young Band because FH has only been adamant about 1 song for our music selections (for ceremony, reception and the slideshow we are putting together) and it was that one

Staci I think we're going to use the Vitamin String Quartet cover of The Luckiest for the processional. You know, just in case I need more help crying lol

"can't help falling in love" by Elvis Presley. I was a huuuuuge Elvis fan as a kid ( I was one weird kid. I liked Gloria Estefan too. wtf little me) and my FI felt he could dance to that song easily enough vs "You are the best thing" by Ray LaMontagne which was our other choice.

From the ground up by Dan and Shay we were on a rode trip together this song came on the radio we instantly looked at each and right then decided it was our song
