Thank you! Our families do dress up a little - as in, more than just your schlumping around tracksuit, but not like, crazy smart with heels and whatnot. It's also summer here at Christmas so a dress is nice and easy. I chose this one since it has a lot of turkey space for dinner, lol!

I love the idea of alternating red and green dresses every year! That's so fun! I'm not quite sure yet what I will wear yet, though I've got a grey/plaid dress that I really only get to wear in the winter, so I might wear that! It's got some red on it, so I think it counts for Christmas lol.

Was going to ask where you got your shoes then saw that you did them yourself, that's so awesome! You're really talented. Love the idea of a chic but roomy dress for the holidays! My married last name will be Rock so lately I haven't been able to resist anything with the mention of rock on it. I'll be wearing this sweatshirt dress and leggings so I have room for treats and also be comfortable for an evening walk after dinner.

Aww, thanks! I do like to get into the spirit of things and the shoes were so much fun to do - one of our holiday long weekends here was during lockdown so I decided I needed an activity to keep me sane!

This is my New Years Eve dress.. with black tights and black booties.. its freezing in Michigan haha

I have one xmas sweater and one xmas shirt so i honestly like to wear them as much as i can haha because when else can i wear it

Our families don't dress up a ton, just something a little nicer than the sweatshirts we all usually wear. I recently bought this cardigan and I've been waiting for the right moment to wear it so I think I'll end up wearing it for Christmas Eve, and I'll find something similar for Christmas. New Years we normally hang out at home with our dogs lol, so we usually just have on sweatpants.

Haha! I know what you mean! I once had a work Christmas party with Poolside Vintage Glam as the theme, which really threw me... what would be poolside appropriate but also WORK appropriate?! In the end I bought a cotton retro dress with a full skirt which had a surfing, tiki santa type print all over it - it's super cute but every year I have to find an occasion to wear it to so I feel like I've got my worth out of it, haha! I've had it 8 years now and worn it at least 4 times which isn't too bad...?
