Here in Australia, bachelorette parties are more commonly call a Hen's Do, and men's are called a Stag Night (which makes no sense, shouldn't it either be a Hen's do and a Cockerel's night, or a Stag Night and a Doe night? ANYWAY!) It's less common to have a bridal shower, unless it's instead of the Hen's Do. Usually they're because the bride is pregnant and wants something at someone's house, with limited alcohol - although not always!
Whatever it's called, what are you wearing for yours?
I'm having a boozy high tea for mine (assuming we are released from our current lockdown, with cases on the rise here). My favourite colour is pink so my sister and sister-in-law who are organising the day have asked the guests to wear pink.
I've picked this dress so that I get to wear some pink too!
