Whats next?

Hi all, my wedding is in 4 months and I have no idea what to do at this point as far as preparation goes. I was supposed to get married this past June but because of COVID restrictions we postponed it a year. Here we are with unknown restrictions. Both FH and I agree that no matter what we will be getting married in May this year whether it is 20 people or 100 people surrounding us. I do have plans for making it COVID friendly.

We are going to have wrist bands for the guest that have meanings behind them such as:

Green= you don't need to wear a mask around me

Pink= Please wear a mask around me

There will be hand sanitizer at every table and door exit.

I guess the problem I'm having is not knowing when I should send out invitations and how many people I should be inviting with the unknown restrictions that will be in place by May. I would hate to invite family members only to tell them later on they can't come anymore... Any ideas???

Invitations for a wedding in May don’t need to go out until March so I would hold off finalizing any plans until later in February. By then you should have a better idea of what restrictions will look like in your state.

Agree with Sarah- typically invitations go out 6-8 weeks prior so you have time. So much can happen between now & when you have to send the invitations.

As others have said given your situation wait closer to. As a back up you could maybe look into live streaming for those that will not be able to attend due to restrictions and do invitations for them.

For our big wedding in March we are inviting our full guest list and sending our invites in January. Hopefully restrictions won't be as bad but plan to take Covid precautions as well.

I would wait until March to send the invites out and see what restrictions are currently in place as far as guest count
