Empathetic... I lost my mom to cancer 6 years ago (before my FH and I met) and right from day one he seemed to understand what that meant for me. I remember sitting with him one day when we were still newly dating and I just felt so sad and I couldn't put my finger on it enough to put it into words. I started telling him about how I lost my mom, and how traumatic it was and I started crying, and he started crying. We were a mess. Both of his parents are still alive, so I would never expect him to understand how it feels to lose a parent, but somehow he does. Last year I lost my dad to COPD, and there were so many occasions were I was grumpy or didn't want to get out of bed, or would talk about my dad a lot... and I never felt like he held it against me or, or like he was mad at me.. or made me feel like he didn't understand why I was acting the way I was. Before my FH and I started dating, I dated a guy who would hardly talk to me the day my mom died.. he acted as if I was a bother to him.. and he made me feel like an emotional freak anytime I would break down while I was helping to take care of her.. so having my FH react to me the way he did (and still does!) was so refreshing. He is my rock Smiley heart

Supportive! We have been through so many big moments (good and bad) together over the last 6 1/2 years. We are always there to support each other.

I would also describe it as fun because we are always doing silly stuff to make each other laugh!

Goofy. We bring out the weird in each other but that's the best when someone can just be their true self.

The one word to describe our relationship would be understanding.

Home. I told him afterwards that at the end of our first date (which lasted 5.5hours) that when we hugged, it just felt like home. Then when we started talking about wedding songs I found "Your Arms Feel Like Home" by 3 Doors Down. It's not making the cut for First Dance, but it's still an important song for me.

I am going to have to say supportive. When I met my FW I was not in a good place and she supported me through it all. She was with me when my family disowned me and through loss of a job. Same with her I was there when she was struggling and lost her job and now here we are a year later I have a great job, we have a nice house together, and she is starting school to start a career path that she has wanted for awhile. This past year has been a wild ride but we have stuck it out and are so much stronger because of it!
