What's that thing under the centerpiece called?

SoontobeJB, on September 22, 2015 at 3:35 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 13

I see a lot of centerpiece pics that have a piece of paper or fabric below the centerpieces to make them stand out what do you call that?

I don't think it has a specific name. I've seen several things used...... doilies, chargers, mirrors, table runners, for rustic I've seen wood slices. I think you just refer to it by what it is. Just a guess though.

SoontobeJB -- I did an google image search on your picture. What I came up with was "Damask centerpiece round base". I took the search a little further and found, "Damask centerpiece (round), So easy to make. Use round pieces of plywood, cover with material! Wow!!!"

If this is what you want, they're easy to make. Order round plywood discs in the size you want (you'll probably have to order online or call Home Depot to see if they carry the plywood discs). Find the fabric you want, cover the disc in the fabric (easy task -- use staples or fabric glue on the reverse side), and you're good to go.

I have seen small overlays like that before I think you just need to search for fabric rounds in the size you want
