What's the most expensive things in a wedding?

I'm an older bride, second marriage but first wedding in a church and we are trying to keep it simple so what are the most higher items besides the dress

    For us, it was the venue. Totally worth it though, and it included food, booze, DOC, linens, etc.

    It could easily be the venue overall as many of them include food/alcohol plus other things like chairs, tables, linens, dishes, etc. It depends on the set-up.

    Guest hosting #1. I think it's the most important. I've been to one too many weddings where

    I feel like the last thing the couple wants to spend money on is feeding their guests/guest comfort.
