What’s your cake flavor?

Hey Everyone! I am truly struggling to choose a flavor for my cake! I have no idea what possibilities are out there beyond chocolate and vanilla. What did you/will you be having for your wedding? Even if you didn’t choose it, what’s a good one to try?

We are doing a layer of chocolate caramel, one of raspberry (literally the best cake I’ve ever tasted in my life), and then one red velvet and cream cheese frosting. We went for a cake tasting consultation and that helped us a lot!

Try lemon cake with raspberry or blueberry filling And vanilla frosting, chocolate cake with salted caramel filling and vanilla frosting, mint chocolate chip with fudge sauce, chocolate with PB frosting. Those are my customers favorites and most popular. I’m making a pina colada cake for my wedding bc it will be in Hawaii

All of these sound amazing!! We’re doing vanilla almond with strawberry filling, lemon, and German chocolate coconut (dummy cake with sheet cake cut behind the scenes). His grooms cake will be chocolate on chocolate with chocolate in the shape of a bass guitar (I told him he can eat whatever he wants to that day!!!)

We will have a three tiered cake and initially was going to have each tier different, however, the servers will not be asking each guest, "which would you like..." So, we're going with each tier the same. Each tier is made with a triple layer. We will have 2 of them vanilla cake and one chocolate cake (alternating). Two fillings, one layer white chocolate mousse mixed with fresh strawberries and the other layer mocha mousse mixed with fresh strawberries. Butter cream icing and strawberry drizzle. I gained 5# typing this and reading all the other posts Smiley smile

Hi! We are having a layered chocolate chip cookie cake, each layer is going to have whipped butter cream for us to cut & enjoy. Our caterer offered us a choice of desserts to choose from for our guests. We chose key lime cake, chocolate/vanilla cake & vanilla bourbon bread pudding.

We're doing cupcakes and can choose up to 3 flavors. I think we're going with pumpkin spice, lemon raspberry, and chocolate.

If you find a bakery you really like, I recommend asking them what they think their best cake is. Not what flavor is most popular necessarily, but what they make really well. After three bad tasting experiences, I fell in love with the fourth place we tried. They had us try Almond (which I never would have thought of) and it was amazing! So that's what we went with for our cake. The guests will have cupcakes and I chose flavors based off what flavors this bakery did really well. I generally love chocolate and peanut butter, but theirs wasn't very good so I nixed that.

Our cupcake flavors are cookies and cream, white chocolate raspberry, lemon blueberry, carrot cake, and almond.

We tried champagne cake with berry mousse, wedding cake with salted caramel mousse, amaretto with buttercream toffee filling, lemon with raspberry filling, chocolate with chocolate mousse toffee.... I couldn't choose. My fiance had to. They were all so good! He went with champagne, wedding and lemon. We are having a mini dessert bar as well.

I think we randomly agreed one day that we would like a small red velvet cake with red velvet and vanilla cupcakes for the guests.
