3 weeks in to us dating

My favorite date night is not one thing over the other but just being able to do something with him. Especially if it is something new to both of us and we get to learn together!

We love to spend a quiet night in watching some tv shows we enjoy together. We also love to make supper together then watch a movie.

He has kids already so honestly my favorite date nights are simple- I love to just cuddle on the couch and watch a movie together without the constant worry of the kids being okay. A night where the kids are being watched by someone we trust as we enjoy the company of each other. I love being in the comfort of our own home stress free!! Don’t get me wrong, I love the kids like they’re my own and I’d do literally anything and everything for them. But there’s always something so refreshing when we get a night to ourselves. It makes our relationship feel brand new every time!!

For Valentine's Day, instead of getting me flowers, he took me to a flower shop to make a flower centerpiece for our home! That was really fun and we got to work together to make our masterpiece. Another thing we enjoy doing is dancing. We recently started taking dance lessons and now every free night we have we try to fill it with another lesson or practicing at home. We like try new recipes together on the weekend because we get to work together to make a meal. There are so many things!!

We do our date nights on Tuesday's, we go to the movie then grab dinner. We have 3 kids so it's nice to put mom and dad away for a moment and just be us...

My favorite date night was 4 years ago on feb 13th. We celebrated the day before valentines day because I had to work that night and because even if I hadn't, it would have been way too busy for our liking. We went out to Olive garden, and when we got back I gave him a Legend of Zelda Monopoly game and we played it until my gallbladder decided that it wanted to have an attack. FH was the best during that time, doing everything he could to help me feel better- he called my mom, carried me down the stairs (we were on the 3rd floor), and basically just did his best to help me feel better. When we got home from the hospital that night, he gave me the best cuddles.

Our date nights are sometimes doing different things. We like cooking together, having a glass of wine and watching a movie most times. Every now and then we do something different like attending a Meetup Group we belong to to look at the stars thru telescopes or going to events to listen to Jazz music.

For date night we like to go to hockey games. I had never been to a hockey game or even really watched a game until I met my husband. The first fall we were dating he took me to the season opener and I've been hooked ever since. We are actually watching the game on TV tonight.

Our favorite date night is pizza and board games. And we’ve recently added creating cocktails to that.
